Got through to the payment page on AA (routing via DFW out and JFK back - £1,066 for 2 PAX) before the better half told me to step away from the keyboard and put the credit card down

Swiss Tony Aug 27, 2015 9:04 am

thought fare had gone from aa but still there

The fare still needs to be listed when you decide to ticket it. Perhaps better to have it ticketed through BA and utilise the cooling off period if needed.

I ticketed a held itinerary on aa.com on the ex-Norway J deal way after the fare was pulled. Not to say it will happen this time, just that it can.

Fitch Aug 27, 2015 9:08 am

Unbelievable !

PRG-LHR-DFW-CUN-DFW-LHR-PRG J/A/J/J/A/J 40+210+40+40-210+40 = 560TPs...

... pricing out on americanairlines.co.uk for late Jan / early Feb at ...

£509.99 GBP :eek::eek::eek:

And that includes 2 x TATL in BA F (admittedly 747 Old First, but still...)

Fitch Aug 27, 2015 9:09 am

Ahh, should have booked instead of posting on FT :(

Just went to pay and price has been adjusted... to £8,279.97 GBP....

There are only three 747's with Old First and they are used on routes without F now.

Fitch Aug 27, 2015 9:11 am

Well as I wasn't quick enough, I was now be sitting in the luxurious surroundings of my front room instead

Spooky about the Thursdays though - does make me start to wonder if there's a bug in the pricing engine. Now, where will I be on Sep 10th ? :D

BlackBerryAddict Aug 27, 2015 9:12 am

...but I don't think this is going to hold...

our_kid Aug 27, 2015 9:13 am

CUN gone literally mid transaction on aa.com

*Gotcha* next April - AA Stock

But, but, but... I received my e-ticket in the mail. It is even telling me that this ticket cannot be changed. :D

Tafflyer Aug 27, 2015 9:14 am

Based on BA's behaviour on Bratwurst I have booked my "Tequila" fare on AA. It passes through the US in both directions giving DOT jurisdiction.

Just got my E-Ticket confirmation and card has already been charged, so let's see how this plays out. Isn't this fun?

Thundie Aug 27, 2015 9:14 am

Booked PRG - CUN on 6 to 13 feb.
Let's see if they honour them :)

Somebody got in earlier with a "La Cucuracha" suggestion....

henkybaby Aug 27, 2015 9:15 am

Also booked on aa.com. 9/1 to 14/1 for me. Also via DFW outbound en via MIA inbound.

Anybody a good hotel suggestion in PRG and CUN ?

GTR56 Aug 27, 2015 9:15 am

Just booked PRG-LHR-DFW-CUN return in F for £532...

Lets see how long this one lasts!

BlackBerryAddict Aug 27, 2015 9:16 am

Fun it is indeed. Tequila and Sombrero ready :D:cool:

Don't get too excited about the DOT - they changed their stance on mistake fares a few months back - http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.c...mistake-fares/

sebanto2001 Aug 27, 2015 9:17 am

Just booked it on AA.com PRG to Cancun in F for 844,08 USD

henkybaby Aug 27, 2015 9:17 am

You can still book it on aa.com

BLHD Aug 27, 2015 9:17 am

Well I'm off to Cancun a week after my birthday! AA F both ways via MIA and DFW respectively, £508 for 580 TP!

irishguy28 Aug 27, 2015 9:17 am

I wonder if this is their "sweetener" to apologise for Bratwurst....

Some got 200,000 Avios compensation, someone got €38,000 refunded on a €3,800 spend, and the rest get this... :D

BA038_Passenger Aug 27, 2015 9:18 am

Anyone recommend a place to go for a beer in Cancun? I will only be there for the night!

Ziz Aug 27, 2015 9:18 am

Definitely seems ike it's still possible to book.

Caleklika Aug 27, 2015 9:20 am

Am I the only one that went for a weekend in MEX?

starflyergold Aug 27, 2015 9:21 am

liamrugby Aug 27, 2015 9:23 am

Just booked a week in Cancun for next year via JFK in F both ways for just over £1000 for 2.. What's the sweepstake on how long until they get cancelled.....?

Richmond_Surrey Aug 27, 2015 9:24 am

So did they swap economy with first this time?

No, they're just gradually moving towards a "pay what you think is fair" model, like Radiohead with the release of their album "In Rainbows".

Gone now. I was seriously contemplating adding another one on the back of the First. :D

That's the only logic to it that i can see to it..

BERbound Aug 27, 2015 9:26 am

So I've just booked. Did the KUL and SYD fares from last week get honored if they were booked via aa.com?

BA0197 Aug 27, 2015 9:26 am

Looks like it's gone from AA.co.uk! Let the refunds begin! haha ;)

I think AA manually tickets as well.

Thanks nux for that advice.

I just went through with the payment, so I'll see what happens. It's just showing 'on request' at the moment.

ba.com is not showing the low prices now.

Only someone who is particularly smart and handsome would have suggested that :D^
