BA Refunds
Hi All,
How long in general does it take for BA to process a refund on a J ticket? I cancelled a flight last Wednesday and beyond the standard Dear Customer, Thank you for your application for a refund of the following booking British Airways booking reference: XXXXXXX We have received your information and are currently processing your refund. We will refund any money owed to the card used to make the booking and we will send you a confirmation email when it's been done. Yours Sincerely, British Airways Thanking you :) |

That's absolutely shocking :eek: I'll give them a call but if it's anything approaching that timeline I'll be very unimpressed |
Of course your money is a handy part of BA's cashflow so no urgency on their part to return it....they can sit on it and earn a bit of interest.

BA Refunds
I've reported this before but I waited 6 months for a refund of £3,500. So count yourself lucky if you get your refund in 5 weeks!

Presumably, you had been cajoling and chasing along the way?
It makes a mockery of a fully flexible tickets tbh |
Took me until last month to get a refund on a flight I took in the first week of January!
