I posted this same appetizer 2 weeks ago. There was a comment or 2 about not seeing the crab which, in my opinion, when seen destroys the presentation. Happily, again the crab was hidden. But, this time it was a perfect balance of the two. Honestly, one of the best appetizers I have had with BA.

Two very contrasting courses from the lunch menu aboard BA108 [DXB-LHR] earlier today. I had the octopus starter which was light and very tasty, highly recommended. The beef main, however, was lacking in taste, the potato was stodgy and the whole thing needed some sauce. So, best avoided!

Soups, starters, deserts and (80%) of the main courses identical to flights in January and February to LAX, DXB and AUH - and other flights not taken by me but seen through menus posted here. Not thrilled but if I was having it now, I'd go carpaccio, beef, cheese. If I can't get the beef it'll be a real struggle though. If only pre-ordering was not beyond BA to implement. |

LHR-JFK Feb 28. Rather lovely avocado crab starter. Beef was cooked nicely. Dessert choices are limited for us unlucky gluten intolerant.
