First Meal Selection Unavailable LHR - JNB
Hi, how common is it for meal choice selection to be unavailable when travelling in F please? Since the option has gone live we have received the error message “you are unable to order all meal types due to a technical problem”. You are still able to order vegan, kosher etc in the MMB. Thanks |
Have you tried calling YouFirst? |
According to another thread this may mean you are getting the new expanded menu. |
I had the same problem on the same route and when I spoke to You First they said it was because I am flying to CPT via JNB. They emailed me the pdf copy of the menu to show me what food options there are for that flight.

I get the same error message on my upcoming flight to KUL.

I get it for an upcoming MSY flight, in Club World.

This happened to me a little over a year ago on LHR-EWR. YouFirst told me there was nothing they could do. |
Whilst no way of knowing there is a current thread discussing current unannounced trials of new food/ service offerings in first and those people who've experienced it got the same message prior to their flight. it may be that you will be one of those lucky few to be a guinea pig ( the thread throws predominantly positive light on it).

It's more common than most would like. To minimise disappointment there'd have to be lots of overcaterring, which ends up as waste and now minimising waste is built into BAs DNA. insert "cost" for "waste" and sure. your point is made! |
