PUCCI GALORE Aug 16, 2013 12:14 pm

I heard a shocking story of a lady getting stuck on a First Class lavatory on an American Airlines aircraft. I am far too ladylike to relate it here and it is hearsay and gossip and I laughed so much that I spilled my champagne.

I cannot make it a TFTG as it did not happen at BA, and my husband has threatened me with divorce if I am too long on here with all of you - sorry (he's actually worth some money now after the lump sums were paid and the house at Antony was sold so I'd rather not if it's all the same with you)

Back on topic I've no idea but as a nurse I doubt it. Frankly wouldn't it be easier to plant explosive in someone's chest with a pacemaker?

My husband has just reminded me that I am flying from stansted next week. His words were that if they are pulling all women with fake boobs-good luck next week at stansted! The queue could take hours or even days.

If the goal is to pack contraband (explosives or otherwise) onboard, and not live more than a few hours, why not just surgically remove all bowels leaving a colostomy or some kind of short-term pouch inside, and pack your contraband back into the peritoneal cavity?

Survival of the patient is not a goal, and the volume of contraband is significant enough to carry out the mission of "get stuff onboard".

Except if you have that option you will be seriously unwell - Unable to walk, major stitches, etc etc. boobs- just a quick op.

Ignoring the breasts, just for a moment.

What form does the extra security for US flights take? The heathrow web site is saying.

At the request of US authorities (TSA) additional security measures are being carried out by airlines flying to the USA. If you are flying to a US destination, please allow extra time for your journey.

Don't know- I was just going to Leeds. The security queue was longer than the flight.

It's nice that T5 is designed so that US-bound pax can be subject to extra paranoid screening without affecting the rest of us...

Oh, hang on a minute ...

I just finished reading all of these posts. I wanted to stay "abreast" of the situation.

So its just more tight security for everyone? I did wonder how they would do more for some flights, but not others.

From some "research" on the internet, it seems like the largest breast implants that tend to be available are about 500ml.

From memory, you can take that much through in hand luggage, as long as you split it into 100ml containers. If you have a few mules to accompany you, who go off on other flights, you can get a couple of litres through. You can then buy a large container to mix it up from duty free (or nick one from the lounge).

If you just want to cause a fire, simply book a ticket on a 787.

This is exactly why the liquids limit has always irritated me so much! I always assumed I was missing something as virtually no-one else ever raises this point, but if ten of you go through then thats 5L you've been allowed between you. Assuming they even bother to check that is - I've gone through with more than 5 containers (generally accidently...) a few times.

You don't even need to acquire the mixing container on the other side - I've taken through empty 1L drinking bottles many times and no-ones ever looked twice at it.

Do flat chested women get through security more quickly? Or would that be profiling?

Never mind breasts, what about pax hiding stuff in their bellies?

At security screening: Fast Track on the right, "Fat track" on the left? ;)
