Z2-Z7 so return is 2.5 * (40k + £270) = 100k + £675 if my maths serves. Half that for one way.

Please can anyone advise on the following:-

BMI Miles required for return route LHR - ZRH - LAX in Business Class. How much are the taxes? and do they always offer Miles + Cash option (if so how much would this be?).

Just want to be sure I am getting the right info when I call the ICC later.

I'm slightly confused after my call to the redemption line...
I was asking about a one way flight from LHR to NAN (Nadi, Fiji) and we started at looking at 25th of this month and the agent went right through February and told me there was no availability on any day on any class.
This strikes me as odd, but am I just being to hopeful for a last minute redemption?
Ideally I'd like to go business class somewhere between 10th and 17th February but was just checking earlier to see how far in advance they booked up.
Any help would be much appreciated - plus if there's a tool somewhere online for doing it myself, I will happily do so...

Hello again. Miles according to the table are 1.5 * 45000 = 67500 pp. Or miles+cash = 1.5 * (25000 + £140) = 37500 + £210 pp.

Miles+cash is always an option you can ask for - most people think it represents good value.

Taxes for the trip look like they might be about £355 pp according to the ITA tool. Ouch. That's mainly the fuel surcharge on LX and the £90 APD ex UK. This is only an estimate - but if they quote you much more than this then ask them to check.

• read the sticky at the top
• check possible routings through staralliance.com
• sign up for and check the redemption availability on ANA
• once found call the ICC and ask for the flights one at a time

Well from somewhere like DUB or AMS you wouldn't have the APD but you'd still have the cost of getting there - including the lesser APD to Europe. And it would need to be on a separate ticket so you wouldn't be able to check your bags through, and if you miss your connection you're stuffed. Other taxes will be similar but not identical.

Not worth it in my view unless you fancy an overnight in your connecting city.

ZRH to either ORD or MIA on 14/8 or 15/8.

Need three seats, ideally F but i'll slum it in C if I have to!:D

I'm having real problems with connecting US domestic flights from IAD and ORD (to MCO) showing available but various agents have told me they can see but they aren't released yet! Had several options lined up from IAD but they won't release.

MIA - O2 I8 both days.
ORD - O2 I6 14/8, nothing on 15th.

You'll rarely get more than 2 F on LX from what I've seen.
