Amazing! Will consider the US and the UA options -- is there any other way of seeing LX availability other than on EF? The second option has a very early departure from LHR...
Also considering MUC-SFO on the 22nd just to escape this weather a bit sooner. :) Any thoughts on LH's product in comparison? I've recently dumped BA as my primary carrier... However, US older C seats (which is the same as the old UA C on the 777) are not so good, and LH is much better than these. Here is LX availability to LAX: F for Dec 22: LX451 LCY0830 ZRH1120 or LX317 LHR0850 ZRH1135 LX040 ZRH1310 LAX1645 F for Dec 23: The same as Dec 22 but with 0600/0630 departure from LON. C for Dec 24: The same flights as Dec 22. No C for 22/23. LX C is the same as LH C, and some says that the LX seats are worst than the LH seats. However, LX F is one of the best F classes all over the world. Some say it's better that BA's! LH MUC-SFO is also available for Dec 21. Let us know what you deciced. |
Hi all,
just wondering what availability is like for 3 adults in J on LX for; DUB-ZRH-LAX/SFO, any time in early june. (we are going to go onwards to LAS with US/UA, there seems to be a lot of availability there). Best regards, Brian. |

Just spent a good portion of time calling the BMI DC desk searching for star alliance flights from the US-CDG. Only to come up empty-handed.
Quick question: would the KVS tool be especially useful to search for star availability that can be attained with DC miles? |

On another note, the reservation has been confirmed, but not yet ticketed. Miles also haven't been deducted yet and nothing has shown up in my "Manage My Booking" area -- how long does all this usually take? Does LH automatically cancel reservations like SQ if not ticketed within 24hrs? |

Thanks LHR-HAJ BD815 06:50 Nothing BD817 11:45 1 economy seat HAJ-LHR BD820 21:10 2 economy seats If you're not BG Gold, the official deadline has already passed, but other posters have reported being able to get a seat at shorter notice. |
Thanks for your quick reply. So there is no way of getting on the first flight with miles? I am a BMI Gold. I didnt know there are diffrence in time requierment. How many days in advance do i have to book as BMI Gold?

BD Gold official redemption leadtime is "three working days".
As an unpublished benefit for gold members, you can make a request for the Revenue Management department to release another redemption seat. Sometimes they do, sometimes the can't/won't. Certainly worth trying, but you'll need to be on the phone first thing in the morning. Otherwise, of course, you can pay for the outbound, and redeem for a one-way on the return. |
Just out of curiosity. What would the taxes be on a flight redemption from Sydney to Fiji(Nadi). This would be in zone 9 and i am curious what the taxes/fee's would on a return redemption.
Thanks |
Has anyone done a redemption to/from KEF/Iceland and if so, which region did the ICC consider Iceland to be in?
TIA! |
