Hi, I'm trying to make my first redemption (cash+miles) in economy:

3/3/2012 BFS-EWR-SFO CO095/CO1143
10/3/2012 SFO-EWR-BFS CO1136/CO94

Using ANA I think there is availability but ICC say only via LHR.

Is this a valid route/is there really availability? Or should I call back and hope for a different agent?

Thanks

Just keep checking with the call centre - I flew BFS-EWR last year on CO95 and although ANA showed availability it took 3 or 4 calls before I got through to an agent who also seen the availability - my theory is they were confusing BFS with BHD or didn't see the direct flight from BFS... now I find when calling about the BFS-EWR flight I find specifiying the two airport codes and the flight number helps.

LON-YVR 13-27Sep12 (ish)

Hi
Looking for help to find a business or first class routing for London to Vancouver in September 2012:
Two adults, one infant (22 months)
269000 miles left, though could possible xfer in some from AmEx if needed
BMI Gold (9 years... gutted;-)
Earliest departure is Thu13Sep12
Latest arrival back is Sat29Sep12
Could possibly do SEAttle instead of Vancouver...

Call centre just come with Air Canada Economy only...
Can someone with access to other checking systems please take a look and see if they can find a routing?

Many thanks

TK: LHR > IST (Longhaul C)

Is there still a longhaul C product on TK LHR > IST? If so, what is the plane type or times to search for? I have been trying to find the old thread on it with little luck.

Had an F flight booked on this route a few years ago although sadly had to cancel it, never making it to IST. Keen to try for it again before DC is to become what it is to become...

I joined up to ANA to try and search myself rather than being a pest however I've drawn a blank and am having a real struggle with the ANA search so would appreciate any help.

I'm looking to use up DC miles for the following:

Outbound - 14th or 15th September from either GLA or EDI to MKE or ORD or even MSP.
Inbound - 16 days later so 30th Sept or 1st October from OMA to EDI (I'm fixed on those airports)

What I would like to do is go Continental via Newark.
I have enough miles to do business + cash which I calculate would need 75,000.

I'd appreciate any help at all - I've now made 4 calls to DC. 3 people have told me I don't have enough miles and the 4th said immediately there was no availibility.

Many thanks

I've found two options for my trip to Santiago using ANA - one is FRA-BOG on LH in F (and then LAN to SCL, and possibly onwards to Punta Arenas, using AA miles), and the other CDG-GRU-SCL on TAM in C.

What is LH's product on this route? Is it worth paying the extra miles (2.5x plus extra 10,000 as I understand from the award chart)? Is TAM really that bad in C?

nothing showing on the CO flights for those dates in C. I am wondering re the 'not enough miles' comment. If you had domestic connections, many of these are only available in Y or F and if you go for F they charge the whole trip as F (for which you would not have enough miles) so unless your connections actually show C class you may need to sit down the back to avoid this

I don't mind that - we've redeemed Onepass miles directly with CO 3 or 4 times now and although the transatlantic part has been business we were not allowed to be in business for the domestic (US) leg. The domestic flights are only a few hours so it doesn't matter. I did say that to all 3 of the advisers but only one commented saying I couldn't change class midway through an itinerary. I've sadly come to the conclusion they get some sort of power trip by finding a reason for sending you packing!

We can't really check the maths properly unless you tell us how many seats you want. :)

Tough one. Business seats are thin on the ground both transatlantic and also domestic USA.

Assuming you want 2 C seats, some possibilities :
9/13(TH) BD1631 Edinburgh Brussels 16:15 18:55 ER4 2 Y seats
9/14(FR) AC833 Brussels Montreal 10:40 12:20 763 2 C seats
9/14(FR) AC8655 Montreal Chicago(ORD) 13:45 15:13 CRA 2 Y seats
You have the option of buying the EDI-BRU flight, instead of having it as part of the redemption, that will save you UK APD and more than pay for your night in BRU.

Alternatively, you could buy a seat on
9/14 (FR) BD1627 Edinburgh Brussels 06:25 09:05 ER4
as there's no award seats available. You woul dassume the risk of the missing connection in BRU.

or
9/14 (FR) BD1631 Edinburgh Brussels 16:15 18:55 ER4 2 Y seats, or else buy them and save APD.
9/15 (SA) SN501 Brussels New York(JFK) 10:20 12:35 333 2 C seats
9/15 (SA) UA687 New York(LGA) Chicago(ORD) 16:00 17:33 319 2 Y seats. Note the JFK-LGA transfer.

Coming back there is :
9/30 (SU) SN502 New York(JFK) Brussels 17:15 06:25+1 333 2 C seats
10/1 (MO) BD1628 Brussels Edinburgh 10:00 10:40 ER4 2 Y seats

10/1 (MO) SN502 New York(JFK) Brussels 17:15 06:25+1 333 2 C seats
10/2 (YU) BD1628 Brussels Edinburgh 10:00 10:40 ER4 2 Y seats

But nothing connecting from OMA, other than :
9/29 (SA) CO4100 Omaha New York(EWR) 11:35 15:24 ERJ 2 Y seats, and you have an enforced 24 hours stopover in NYC.

You may well find
10/1 (MO) CO4417 Omaha New York(EWR) 16:32 20:24 ERJ
10/1 (MO) CO108 New York(EWR) Edinburgh 21:55 09:45+1 752
all in Y is a better flight, if only for less hassle.

Hey folks:

First time booking an award BMI flight on AC .

First question is if you book a one way award flight can you have a stopover or is it just RT awards? If you book two ones ways = two stopovers?

Want to do the following:

LAX- Toronto(stopover) - Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island - YUL (stopover)- YYC

Possible?

Also I have found availability on ANA so do I just feed the ICC the flights?

LX awards

Hi All

I see I7 for a ZRH - LAX flight (in Sabre). Seems unusual to see 7 award invent seats avail.
ANA shows zero and BMI call centre say zero also.

I am aware LH/ LX do award seat blocking but has anyone had luck getting BMI to confirm inventory in this situation?
Recently had a similar thing with NZ , BMI said zero I could see in sabre a few seats and I advised the ICC agent to "sell" the seats even though they couldn't see it and voila I got my booking as I expected.

Hola amigos!

Totally off-topic here, I know. Posted here because the bmi FTers are the most helpful :)

Please can someone with KVS search for the following for me on Aero Mexico (AM)? I have some LyingPoo/FeelingBlue miles to burn :)

5th, 6th or 7th April:
OAX-MEX-MID

Y or J

link to post about app to do the ANA search

I spotted this post on the Star Alliance forum.... thought it might be of interest here, and at first glance it seems great! It bypasses the need to twiddle with a dummy journey on ANA to reach the 'other *A carrier' option.

The actual link is http://awardfinder.juny4ng.com/ and is created and hosted by jyflyer ... thanks

SA7700 JNB to SYD

Can anyone please advise me on if and how to use miles for a redemption ticket on South African Airways from Johannesburg to Sydney on SA7700 which is a code share with Qantas in December. I can see that I can redeem voyager miles (SAA loyalty programme) for this flight but I can see any availability on ANA and not even sure if you can redeem diamond club miles for a codeshare flight? Any help will be much appreciated.

DC redemptions are limited to Star Alliance operated flights, plus a few other selected partners. You can't redeem on this QF codeshare.
