Check in/API question

Flying LHR-MAN-LAS. The LHR-MAN segment is the night before the long haul part (although on same PNR). Can I check my luggage straight through to LAS - and if so is does an overnight connection increase the risk that it won't make it (it does on BA!).

Also, can you enter the required API info via the website - can't see how, or do you have to give it on check in.

The API will be requested at checkin at LHR, unless it has been entered already. The website is useless. The call centre is likewise.

I usually write my details down on a piece of paper for the checkin staff to make their life easier. (And mine, in case they get it wrong)

My experience of overnighting at MAN following a connecting flight from GLA is;-

1. I could not enter API online - I used the ICC. By the time I had checked in the API had disappeared Spare yourself the trouble - just do the API at check in.

2. When on an overnight connection your luggage cannot be through checked. You can do the night before check in at desk 23 between 7 and 9 pm.

thanks - I had discounted the idea of trying to get the ICC to enter the API. They'd probably end up cancelling the booking
