Problems getting missing flight credited

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question here - I've called the DC line twice now to get miles credited for a missing flight - both times I was told they would be credited within 72 hours. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting. Is it worth calling again do you think, has anyone else had any problems, or is it just better filling in the form online and posting it?

It's the flight that's due to make me silver status, and I'm due to take a flight next month, so wouldn't mind getting lounge access for that! :)

fill in the form and send it off with your BP stub. it works very quickly. if your new shiny card has not arrived before your flight, you can usually ask for a "lounge letter", but i would pm diamondclub for that!

Sent the forms off for 13,000 worth of 5 missing miles exactly 2 weeks ago today (flights were SAA in early June) - all are qualifying flights.

Still waiting, so it doesn't work that quickly!

Postal route it is then - thanks everyone!

Personally I wish you did not have to send in boarding passes etc. My biggest gripe with BD is how difficult it is to get flights to auto credit. At a guess, 50% of my flights require some form of manual intervention to get them to credit.

If it were not for the help of Joanna is sorting much of this mess out I would have left years ago. She really is a gem, but it would be nice if BD were to upgrade their IT so she could sort out more difficult issues rather than focussing so much of her time on these sorts of issues!

True.

But I like dealing with people rather than systems, even if it is the most inefficient arrangement conceivable!

I think we're unlikely to see any serious investment applied untill the ownership issue is finalised.

Sent an email yesterday - lo and behold, the miles arrived this morning...

"Where to send details?
Well, you can scan the ticket/e-confirmation (incl. ticket no./PNR) and BPs to diamond - DOT - club - AT - flybmi.com or send them by registered post (after having made a photocopy/scan of everything) to the Diamond Club Address."

When I had issues, I scanned my BP's combined with E-Ticket and sent via email to diamond.club.... It takes a week or 2, but it works, avoids snail mail, and means I can keep collecting my BP's...

The most important thing is to email both boarding passes along with eticket numbers as that way they can look it up and credit accordingly.
