Missing MBNA miles

My last bmi credit card statement shows that I earned 2118 miles for the period 18th July-17th August. I expected the miles to post automatically to my diamond club account on or around the 18th August, as normal. So far I have yet to receive them.

I called their customer services line this morning and spoke to someone who was pretty clueless. Help?

Should take 1-2 months to post.

After 2 months I called.... took four or five calls back and forth between MBNA and BMI. They'll ask if you've received the letter yet, etc... etc...

MBNA is the one that has to tell BMI to post the 20k pts. (disregard anything that is said otherwise by MBNA... some of the agents will tell you to call BMI). I complained enough that they put me through to MBNA's special complaints line, and the problem was solved in a week.

Just whine enough with MBNA (as sad as that is) and it'll get solved.

...every agent you speak to on any subject, ever will try to sell you 'Payment Protection for only 12 pounds per pound of your balance' or something stupid

This is from someone who has in the space of the last 2 months applied for the Priority Club and then bmi cards with them and therefore been on the phone several times about various different randome issues, so is well used to the patter by now :)

I'll echo all the advice in this thread so far, and say that this might want to be folded into the big MBNA thread which is where it belongs. Paging Wingnut etc.

Don't ever call the number on the back of your MBNA card. Mine reads 0800 917 4466. That seems to put you through to the call centre in Ireland. They are simply not any good.

Call 0800 062062. You're almost certain to be put through to someone in the Chester call centre and they do seem a bit more switched on.

But their accents are to die for...I sit there and dream of a room filled with Andrea Corr-alikes waiting to answer my questions ;) :p :D

is the OP talking about the 20K startup miles? I read it that it was the ordinary monthly miles that weren't being credited. Must say mine always post every month withour fail - tempting fate now though as my statement is due shortly.

Yes, the monthly miles are what I'm talking about.

I'll try that number knifeandfork posted tomorrow morning. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about the bonus offer. I got the wrong end of the stick. It's a worthy thread in its own right and I'm a plank.

Beware, G-BOAC, beware:

What you think you're talking to
