I notice on the website that these flights count as "long-haul" in the T&Cs. No mention of paid catering, then!
I was wondering about that. Even bmi wouldn't stoop that low....

Do people think they will let us use our upgrade vouchers on this route, or redeem 20k miles with free upgrade for golds? If yes I think I might give Moscow a go. Do UK citizens need a visa still?

Oh yes. It's all part of the Welcome to Russia service.

My head hurts... I'm sticking with the excellent Aeroflot Business class.

Wondering out loud what BD routes are going to lose a daily rotation to fit this route in...

Wondering out loud what routes are going to be downgraded to embraer 145's to enable an A320 to be "enhanced" for Moscow?

Wondering out loud what happens when this enhanced one of a kind A320 goes tech or is delayed in another airport, and a substitue aircraft is put in place (think 767's to Vegas)... Dont BD ever service the aircraft?

Wondering out loud why BD needs yet another type of service level... we now have:

- Bmi Baby
- Bmi Ecomomy
- Bmi Economy (transatlantic - paid drinks)
- Bmi Economy (India - Free drinks)
- Bmi Ecomomy (Moscow??? Free food?, paid drinks?)
- Bmi Regional Economy (free food and Drinks)
- Bmi Business Europe (bento boxes)
- Bmi Business Europe (enhanced bento boxes to Moscow)

Proud not to have flown BD since April, and not missing it one bit.

You've forgotten BMI economy from LHR transatlantic (free drinks) - same as India. And Bmi "the business" (long-haul) and the different service on the 767 to Riyadh and Jeddah.

It would be an enhancement if they'd limit the service level to Y and C short-haul, and Y, Y+ and C long-haul

despite all the fuss, it is the first time star alliance mileage could be redeemed for non-stop flight between LON and MOW. Hope airport taxes on award ticket will be less than those of LH...

Another interesting question is that DME does not have *A lounge (and never had) - does it mean BD will open its own?

I love this quote from the OKA site:

"OKA has such technical and commodity characteristics, which allow our partners to work in the wide-range market with a steady solvent demand. It is a basis of a stable sells, increasing of a market share, and increasing of a sales volume.

Compact and light, economic and manoeuvrable, and also a rather cheap automobile OKA can take the important place in your business, in office and state affairs, in noncommercial or medical activity.

OKA will be the very useful companion for its owner in business as well as during rest."

Obviously machine translated :). That wouldn't be the old Lada Samara design they've adopted would it?

IIRC Swiss (LX) has a it's own lounge (down stairs by the gates).

Hopefully not run by the clueless lounge dragons at the business and/or Navigator lounges.

that would be the one BA originally used when it moved to DME. Pretty small - used to be standing room only down there if you didn't get there early.

Ah yes. And everything was behind the counter. You had to wait for the clueless bimbo to go back and fetch you a drink. Usually wasn't worth the wait.
