whybmi.com

Our web support company offered us a free domain for a year along with a very generous bandwidth allowance,

So if anyone wants to design a protest site for posting user comments PM me for details (I really don't have the time or experience to put it together)

The site will be active in about 48 hours on www.whybmi.com

There is a good set of tools available and 600mb of storage and 25gb a month bandwidth (As I say it was free and I donty have any other use for it!!)

Ah, already started in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...2&page=4&pp=15 (I guess this is one of the pitfalls of duplicate threads!)

http://www.usedtoflybmi.com

People and resources all waiting to begin...

Excellent, the more the merrier!

I'm going to set a couple of things up this evening (will be on http://www.usedtoflybmi.com/ for now, but we can consolidate as required). First and foremost will be a discussion board. Yes, another one. I think we're going to have to discuss content away from prying eyes, and people with experience in matters such as how to avoid having your site shut down by who you're targetting can tell us what they need.

I'll also put together what I can (I have some standard templates I can use for this stuff), and have it on a password-protected site for now, until we're confident it's good enough. The sooner the better, of course.

Watch this space. And apologies if I spam threads with some of this stuff.

I don't think you'll get any complaints from here, stut - just let us know what you need ^

Right, you can sign up to the forum now, by clicking here.

Then you can PM me, and let me know it's really you It sounds paranoid, but Flying Blue forum regulars will remember AF/KLM employees trying to sign up to the private forum spin-off for the FB changes.

Be patient for the response, though. I'm trying to work through this as quickly as possible, but I do have the remnants of a life and a job.

(Not tonight, admittedly...)

Might i suggest something here? There seems to be a challenge to the time, expense and effort to set these things up. FlyerTalk will assist you all in your effort to bring positive attention to these changes.

We named, set up and managed the original SaveSkyMiles.com initiative which was quite successful because of the effort by those members involved. By not having to worry about the infrastructure and tech stuff, the effort got off the ground quickly.

I've asked my team to do the same for you. More on this once i understand who is involved and what your goals might be.

Cheers,
Randy

And I'll add my message of thanks to Randy too!

In the meantime, while we're getting everything set up... We need to figure out some of the content.

Some initial suggestions are now on a mock-up site, which is password protected. See the "let's figure out some content" thread on the usedtoflybmi.com forum.
