I do wish BMI would stop using the expression Premium Economy. They only call their separate full-fare Economy cabin on long-haul flights, the new Economy when, arguably, they could claim some premium aspect to that particular seat. On European and domestic flights it's just plain Economy, designated, in common with every airline in the world, by the letter Y and for which you are paying the full (some would say extortionate) fare. It isn't Premium anything. If anything the other fares should be called Discount Economy or some such. Premium suggests, well, something Premium. And there isn't anything.

The new travelocity uk website stinks. You can't view bookings you made on the old site, seat selection has gone and now you can't view booking codes. Up until 2 weeks ago you could view the booking code on travelocity by clicking the flight rules tab and it stated it on the top e.g. BK - F (I wish ;) )

On expedia its easy, after selecting the flight just click on the rules and restrictions link towards the bottom of the review flight details page. This does not work with expedia special fares though, although I emailed them about one fare and they gave me the fare basis no problem.

Gajan, I presume that you are travelling on a European (shorthaul) flight? If so, your ticket is changeable for a £30/EUR45 fee, plus any applicable upgrade in fare class (though if you change in advance, M is still often available).

Longhaul, it depends on the fare rules.

I thought all long-haul/transatlantic discount economy fares earned 1.0x miles?
Maybe not.

g, t and n are x0.25 on long-haul. It's been discussed in the past.

A W-fare for ORD-MAN, for example, sounds like it would only get 0.5x miles (based on the following post).

g is a travel trade/staff positioning code and doesn't earn miles; it's recently started making an appearance as a discounted published fare also. Avoid at all costs if you come across it.

GoldCircle made that post on February 15th -- much has changed at bmi since then (although contrary to the website, longhaul has always earned 100%).

It is indeed a shorthaul (AMS-LHR return). As it is an e-ticket, I only have the Amadeus Printout stating that changes are possible as long as the fareclass is available.
It says nothing about the money needed to change the ticket.
