ScottC, it's a great promo, but then again, you have to fly with KLMyuk (sic). Those lovely peanuts and pretzels on F100s...

I'm happy to report that the new math excercise has warranted me a big headache and that therefore I have decided to stick to this program (and forum of course).
Bottom line: I'm lazy and I can get snotty with other esteemed members of a *A board who only have status with one alliance he he. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cool.gif (edited for dreadfull spelling) [This message has been edited by celbrian (edited 12-12-2001).] |
KLM UK (or Air UK as I knew them way back) was my intro to Frequent flying. When we lived in Stonehaven I took over 100 trips from Aberdeen to AMS on those dreaded F*kkers. My dad always joked that is was plastic airways as everything on board was plastic, up to the elastic band used to wind up the engines http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I flew on one of BD's F100s for the first time this morning. Terribly shabby and uncomfortable, and for some reason felt a lot noisier and even more unpleasant than the ones KLMuk use. Maybe BD don't look after theirs very well.
On the subject of F***ers, a colleague of mine, who began her career in broadcast journalism, tells of her first appearance in front of the camera for a regional television channel. Determined not to make an embarrasing blunder, she spent ages rehearsing a bulletin which contained a news item mentioning Fokker aircraft. She went live on air, only to prove that the harder you try not to say something, the more likely you are to say it. I don't think anyone noticed. Alastair |
