Avis points expiring email
I searched but didn't find anyone with same issue.
Got an email telling me my AVIS points expire in a few weeks. I haven't rented from AVIS in over 12months as their program stinks. I've got over 4,000 points, they're worth a little I suppose. I find National a better overall experience, better cars, way better program.
If I rent from AVIS will my points still be good? Should I call customer care and ask for an extension?
Anyone had an experience with this yet?

A quick Google search for "Avis points expire" yields this from Avis: https://www.avis.com/car-rental/cont...Q-US_en-048953
Sorry I did not provider more specific details on my searching, as I was searching the FT forums for answers and not the www. In the future I will be crystal clear on my global searches.
For anyone else in the audience, a simple Avis transaction will keep your account active.
Again big thanks to IAHTreverlor for the response.

I haven't been able to find this anywhere on the web / google: Is there a way to purchase points for either AVIS or enterprise or any other rental company just to keep the points active? If not, I guess I'm just going to have to book the most economic car for one day and not even drive it but just to keep my points (Actually, the company's points) still active so I can use them at a later time.
