Question about using Weekend-er coupons

Can I use a weekender certificate for a 4 days rental (starting on Friday) to get 2 free days and 2 paid days?

The way I understood it to be that you had to start your rental on a Thursday and return it on a monday.

I used my coupon just fine a few weeks ago in PHL.
My rental started Friday night and I returned the car Monday morning.

I believe the rule is you have to start your rental on Thursday OR Friday and return it by Monday night/midnight.

You can start the rental on anyday between Thursday and Sunday, but the vehicle must be returned by Monday at midnight. I just used another one of my free weekend coupons this weekend, but didn't pick the car up until Saturday morning and returned it this morning.

Simple answer = YES

I have used two certs where I picked up Thursday night and dropped off Sunday afternoon. No problems - they just charge you for the extra time (at the low weekend rate - both times it was an extra ~$30 all-in).

The important thing for me has been to rent at least for 48 hours. Otherwise the Avis system won't accept the coupon. I'm sure you'll be fine on a 4 day rental.

I have done this the last two weekends in Tucson AZ. Total cost for a mid-size car was about $88.00 after taxes for the four days.
Out on Friday 6 PM back on Tuesday 6 AM.
My guess is YMMV ---- call and check
