Avis app update (iOS)
Seems the ability to choose a car has been removed. Can anyone confirm?

I was hoping for an Apple Wallet card in the updated app, no luck

I’ve been able to choose a car in the new app as of last week. It was a little harder to find and offered way fewer choices than the old app.

The android app updated as well and not only could I change my car, I did it from my origin! Never been able to do that before. Changed from a minivan to a Mazda CX50. I booked an intermediate and I've determined that SJC makes it their personal mission to pre assign the worst vehicles for PC members

What's new is, that you can make a selfie and (looks like) skip the counter as you can confirm your identity.
So new Preferred members or PC can skip the counter on their first time rental? Is this true? |
Looks like the app doesn't show my real status - is this normal behavior? I'm president's club member - but the app shows everywhere 'Avis preferred'?!

Ok thanks. So different for me. Maybe because it was a Status Match and I don't have any rentals inside?

Can I ask where you reside? I’m in a similar situation- as a UK based President Club member via a status match, the UK (read European) website and app acknowledges my PC status at the top of their pages and on my membership card. When I access the US versions of both the website and app, it shows as ‘just’ Preferred status.
