I have not really tried to resolve TBH. US App (Left) is still showing 'just' Preferred, whilst UK App (Right) is showing PC. The situation doesn't cause me too many issues as I normally book a Suburban whilst in the US (so not looking for an upgrade) and my wife is automatically covered. In Europe it's a different story, so usually book a mid-sized car (and hope for the upgrade as a PC) and need the free additional driver for my wife.

shonerm Thanks for the details. How can you use US and UK app at all? For me I cannot login within Avis US website as my EU account is EU only (looks like).

But overall I also made a Suburban reservation within US - so shouldn't be an issue at all.

Apple iOS Wallet for AVIS says president's club. That's the only point where I can find it.

I'm having a different version of this:
UK App > Preferred Plus
UK website > Preferred
Because I have not rented since March, I've no idea which is correct. No big deal but it'd be nice to know for sure..

Does anybody know how this POS app or website can display whether I have unlimited mileage or have to pay per mile for my rental? Additionally, any clue how to get Avis to email me the current reservation details? Both of these important features are missing and it drives me nuts. I absolutely despise their app and website but admittedly it's gotten better with the latest update (although these two missing features are the things I need the most).

I'm in the middle of a rental. When I made the reservation I got an email with all the details including unlimited mileage. I then modified the reservation on the app. That part was easy. But modifying NEVER tells you if the mileage is no longer unlimited or you have to pay. I assume still unlimited. But modifying the reservation produces zero emails. So I tried via the app and via the website (by looking up with my reservation #) and absolutely nowhere does it say what the mileage limits are or if I want to email myself a copy of the current reservation details.

This drives me nuts. How is this even legal (re: mileage)? I've modified a return before to a different location and nowhere during the flow did it warn me that I was moving from unlimited mileage to having to pay. Nor is there anywhere in the app or website under the reservation that shows you the current mileage charge. Needless to say it was a much larger bill when I did the drop off. I should have probably pursued that with the DoT or through a lawyer but I didn't at the time. Given this is still a huge issue years later I'm inclined to fight it if it happens again.

Thanks,
-RM

Not sure about the app, but the newly refreshed website shows the mileage info in the Payment Information section when you look up a reservation.

That's on a new booking. As mentioned, I'm talking about existing bookings or when modifying a booking. There is nowhere to find this info.

I looked up an existing booking on their website when I took the screenshot above.

That's interesting. I have no "Payment Information" section when I look up my reservation. I see Your Rental Details, Modify Return, Rental Summary.

Under Rental Summary I see: RA #, Your Vehicle, Location, Discounts Applied, Fees & Taxes, Estimated Total. Zero info on mileage. But, again, this is a rental that's already started. Not one I have booked for the future.

Try this:

https://www.avis.com/en/reservation/reservation-details?LAST_NAME=<YOURLASTNAMEHERE>&CONFIRM_NUM=< YOURCONFIRMATIONNUMBERHERE>&transType=view

Note that if you prepaid your reservation through a site other than Avis, the Payment Information section may look different or not show vs. a pay-at-counter reservation.

Appreciate your help and patience. The above link does pull up a totally different looking screen than the one I found through avis.com. However, it's wrong. It shows me the original return date and does show unlimited miles under payment info screen but does NOT show the updated return date which means the data is invalid. So, back to square one, still zero way to validate I'm not paying for mileage on an updated reservation.

Note: this is a standard Avis booking through the app and modified through the app. My C/C is in my Wizard profile and was swiped at check-in. It's not pre-paid.
