Are you still getting 1000 miles on BA? I also used to get 1000 miles (not realizing why), but since April 2000 I'm back to 500.

No, not for about four or fives months now. I'm back to 500 per rental. And they're posting really sluggishly, too!

I assume it is 500 miles per rental even if the rental is short? Also, do you need tier status in BA ExClub to get the 500 miles? And is that given on any rate? Sure is a whopping difference from 50 miles per day on US carriers even when doubled for Select if the rental is short!

It's 500 miles per rental no matter how long you keep the vehicle. And, no, you don't have to have tier status on BA Exec Club -- Blue works just fine.

I have no problem with the postings of Avis miles on BA. Actually, it has recently been very fast: My BA online statement as per today shows three rentals made on 22 and 23 Aug 00 already.

Used my BA Blue number on an Avis rental this past weekend but not yet posted on my BA account. Hope it is just too early. On another board here there are remarks that the rental rate has to be a qualifying rate and booked using the BA AWD number. Hope that is not true.

Well, over a week and not posted. Will keep checking. May have to call Avis. Nagging concern about that post about special rates required. Were the 500 miles supposed to be granted on discount rates too?
