EU261 claim
 

I have a ten hour delay to my LHR BOG AV121 flight on 14th Aug. AV just hang up when they answer my call. Has anyone claimed a EU261 compensation directly from the airline ?

Probably gonna be more than 10h.
We sat on the plane until 3am this morning after 2 unsuccessful repair attempts.
Put in hotel and new departure was 14... Now its 14:30.
Probably gonna be pushed back even further.
Sadly for me i cannot claim the 600 euro since we are going the wrong direction.
But for you. The issue with delay is tech so there is No question about it.
I would just relax about it file it after the trip.

With an Airline like Avianca I would use one of the services that take 25-30%.

AV are not easy to deal with. They have hung on me, twice already. I was told it was a " revision técnica " by one agent. So thanks for the info.

No way. AV have one of the worse customer services. For simple things i had to ring more than 20 times...

They are a joke. Arrived recently to Heathrow with the delayed flight.
Not sure if they wanted to be funny or not but they rebooked me on a 12h connection (even though there are several flights available earlier). So 15h late is not enough for them?
Managed to get rebooked eventually but first they refused.
