The 777s that run JFK have the Suite, QS, Y.

Very excited, will be flying this route in late July. Managed to grab one of the upper deck economy window seats, which I've heard have the side storage bins.

You mean the 777s. Takes two to fly that route.
Looks like 380 #3 started test flights in December 2014 and #4 rolled out Jan. 21, but has not yet flown. A380 Production List I personally wish SFO or SEA will get the 777s from JFK. |
Welp! It's a ways off but excited at the end of the year I just booked my an F award for A380 JFK-ICN. Instead of doing the 50 min connection with OZ I went ahead for 3:55 to TG. I'll be spending about 5.5 weeks in Thailand so not in a real rush and would rather spend an extra 2.5 hours in the airport than worry about missing the 50 min connection.
Originally was going to book this r/t in paid J but since I am already re-qualified for 2016 with travel through July for 1K on UA I am going to save that $ to use to book US-BKK-US for a trip in early 2016 I'll need to do. |
747 on JFK route??
I just went to select my seat for my flight on 3/27 from JFK-ICN and the plane is a 747, I thought it was all QS on this route, am I wrong?

Did you post in another thread or someone else? There have been very random off days where it runs the 747.

Does anyone know the official start date of ICN-JFK for the 380? I was seeing June on the Asiana website, however I just booked a flight on May 30th and right now its scheduled A380... showing seat map and all (this was a schedule change from when I first booked and it showed 777)

Interesting. Look for extra award space opening due to the increased capacity.

It will be a very tight connection.

Yes sir I was thinking about doing that too. However the only option to get from BKK there is showing a 50 min connection. Last time the schedule gave me about 1:50 I think.
Worth risking? That was with the LAX ICN flight on time, close to scheduled flight time. Too close for comfort, and missing out on a visit to the lounge. :td: |
I already booked connecting to the TG flight that leaves after the OZ BKK flight so I'll have plenty of cushion to shower, eat, relax a bit.

Travelling OZ from JFK to SIN via ICN in business. Have travelled OZ from Europe to ICN but first time from JFK.
2 questions for the forum : 1. Which lounges can I use at JFK for before the OZ flt? More than 1 choice? 2. Have 6 hr layover in ICN and then flying SQ to SIN. Which lounge should I use in ICN? I have always used the OZ lounge in the past. But any better *A lounges in ICN? Thank you all in advance.. |
