Arrived at CGK at about 3.45 pm. A Fairmont hotel staff waited for me near the gate. Took me 5 minutes to pass the immigration and another 15 minutes for my luggage.

The hotel staff escorted me to the Silver Bird taxi stand. The taxi fare was IDR400,000 and was charged directly to the hotel. The entire process was smooth and convenient.

Glad it went smooth.

The real rate of Silverbird, if paid direct, is probably 200-250k.

I'm getting a bit confused over the terminal changes at CGK that are due to take place later this year with the completion of T3, so I hope somebody can help me:
I'm flying into CGK on QR in late October, arriving at 7.40am (flight seems to have a good on time record), will it still be T2? After clearing immigration I want to hop on a flight to Yogyakarta straight away. Both Air Asia and Garuda have a flight at 10am, with Air Asia not only being cheaper, but operating from T2 as well, so no terminal change, while Garuda is T3, correct? Will there be changes before 22 October? Thanks.

Garuda domestic operates from T3 starting from today. International flights (Garuda and others) will be moved to T3 some time in the future, but there is no fixed date at this stage (aiming in March 2017). As far as I know, Indonesia Air Asia flights operate from T3 pier 1 (small T3). I'm not sure whether there is any change due to the opening of T3.

2 hours 20 minutes may be a bit tight for a transfer from T2 to T3 in 2 separate tickets.

I actually will fly to CGK today (T2) and then continue to SYD (T3). All with Garuda. My transit time will be 2 hours 30 minutes. Will share the experience.

Currently the plan for the new T3 will be for Garuda International and Domestic flights AND other Skyteam partner airlines (KE, CZ, MF, KL, CI). By Oct, I expect them to all use T3.

If you're flying via QR, I expect them to arrive via T2. Air Asia might be moved to T2, so that might be more convenient in terms of transit.

The backdrop is that the small pier of the current T3 was initially conceived as a budget carrier terminal. With the new and larger T3, the small piers will be incorporated into the new terminal, so I believe Air Asia will be moved from there.

How is international and domestic going to work in one terminal? Is there going to be a separation?

There will certainly be some sort of separation..

Certainly. Garuda had operated domestic and international flights at T2 in CGK.

So my flights were delayed, both my domestic and international flights, for about an hour. Garuda did reasonably well on the first day of operating its domestic flights in T3. Plenty of Garuda buses to transport passengers between T2 and T3 (at the airside).

Is there finally decent airside food options?

I'll be passing through domestic-> International on Garuda early October again will be interesting to see.

I was transiting domestic Bali every 3 months while that was under construction/remodeling....is T3 like that or is actually completed?

Just had an update that AirAsia should move to T2 on 12 Aug 2016.

Some parts of T3 which have been opened are pretty much finished with minor issues here and there. Reasonable food options at this stage.

Some parts are in the last stage of construction. Not sure what will the status be in October. Hopefully Garuda international should already be moved to T3 by then.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. Then I will go for it. Concerning the potentially tight transfer time: my inbound QR flight will be in C, so hopefully one of the first out of the aircraft and luggage one of the first on the belt...

Bandung - Jakarta shuttle

I'm trying to find a late evening shuttle from Bandung to CGK in order to catch a 2am Lionair flight. This would be a Sunday evening to Monday early morning flight.

The closest shuttle schedule that I've found is 16:00, which arrives 19:00. Is there a later shuttle? i.e. 21:00 arriving midnight?

Citilink is my favorite shuttle from Bandung. Xtrans is kinda ok, but not in the best shape.

I've taken Cipiganti, but they're not my favorite.

Citilink? The Indo airline Citilink? Did you mean Cititrans?

I still don't find any schedules online.
