batik air - payment failed
Batik Air gives me the message "payment failed" when I try to pay with Visa. CC company verified my card is fine. Has anyone experienced the same and if so is there a solution? Would paying with a debit card work maybe? I'd rather not do that though.
Only other option seems to be to use an OTA, but I try to avoid that given all the bad reviews and horror stories. Is there any OTA that comes recommended as better than the rest?

I'd try a private/incognito window and other browsers just in case some extension is blocking CC authorisation pop-up. Only had a problem with my first Malindo booking and it's been fine (with a Cdn CC) since. Not that I've made a booking on OD in 5 years (but have with Firefly, Malaysia, Air Asia (AK) x 2, and Vietnam Airlines x 2 the past few months.

I dive often in Indonesia and most of the times, the dive shop offers to book domestic flights for me because a lot of times, those "smaller" airlines only take local cards... I know it sounds weird but i've been offered this option whenever I flew to Komodo, Manado, and other islands. No issues with Garuda or Lion Air from memory.

to work - be it AMEX, Visa, or MC. As I said, using Nusa Travel on line was no problem.

I know this may come in a little late, but try traveloka.com. I use this site to buy Indonesia domestic travel (including long distance train) cos it will accept foreign card as a payment method.

I am currently in KL and tried to make a booking and it was denied - however, I was connected to a VPN in Canada. I disconnected from the VPN, tried again and it went through. Maybe try connecting to a VPN in Malaysia and try and see if your card gets processed….
