Malaysia Digital Arrival Card Website Not Working
Is anyone flying into Malaysia? The Malaysia digital arrival card is not working. How are you flying into Malaysia without completing the digital arrival card?
|
You don’t need an arrivals card for Malaysia. There might have been one previously or during COVID perhaps but certainly haven’t required one in recent trips.
|
I think you are referring to the health declaration (MySejahtera) which is not longer required but it looks like you still need to submit a digital arrival form:
https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main Can you confirm you don't need this either? |
You don't need any of that now.
If you have multiple trips planned there is a form to fill in to register for e-gate usage (not sure if Canada is included in the scheme though) but for the first entry into Malaysia after registering one still needs to see an immigration counter in-person and only on subsequent visits do you get to use the e-gate.....and one needs to register 3 days in advance of EVERY trip so it's more hassle than its worth and for a one off trip completely pointless. |
You don't need it to enter the country. Its only benefit (if it works) is that you may be able to use the auto-gates when entering Malaysia on subsequent visits.
Wasn't very helpful when I flew in a couple of weeks ago 'cos they claimed that their fingerprint reader was down (which meant that they could not complete the enrolment process for me). |

At KLIA and KLIA2 visitors from 10 countries can now use the automatic entry gates. You fill out an online MDAC 3 days in advance. On the first entry you report to the passport desk to confirm your ID and finger prints. Thereafter you can use the auto gates. I’m looking forward to trying it.
But yes! On my last couple of trips, the finger print readers at the passport desks were not used. |
Redundancy confirmed by others but…
What does this even have to do with MH? |
Thread has been moved to the appropriate Asia travel forum. Ocn Vw 1K, Senior Moderator.

Can confirm that no Arrival Card needed, neither digital nor in paper.

Actually, now it is required it seems? And it's -3days prior arrival only.
https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main All travellers are required to submit their Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arriving in Malaysia, except : Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance; and Malaysia Permanent Resident Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) Holder edit: Sorry, looks like it's the same link posted above. I just saw that's it's mandatory starting Oct' 23? https://www.asiantrails.travel/lates...val-card-mdac/ |

One I was chatting to was particularly miffed that so much publicity has been given to a protocol that is littered with bugs: we were witnessing a woman trying to register with thumb prints although she was having trouble reaching the wretched machine. Thumb prints ???? |
