TPE Security

I have passed TPE many times but always intransit. The security was extremely easy and with everything kept inside the hand luggage and you wear your belt and shoes.
Is it the same even when you are checking in and departing from TPE? I know that Taiwan is not a member of ICAO but states who operate into TPE would have done their audit on their procedures.

Left tpe recently

no line to check in bags

need to take laptop, camera out of carryon for scan. Shoes and belt can stay on

They questioned why I had a bottle opener and rescanned it, lol

No better or worse than other airports tbh

Also need to take out tablet as well. Usually need to take off boots and any outerwear that is slightly bulky.

The lines have been quite long, but shouldn't be more than 20 minutes.

So they have different rules for transit and joining passengers.

I do a lot of transit and every time they shout everything in the bags. It is so easy compared to other places. No removing of lap top or belt or the power bank.

We had to take out laptops/tablets but did not need to take off shoes. It was pretty efficient and smooth! This was in the international terminal departing TPE.

yes just done this transit as well - everything stays in bag. There was a sign saying belt off, which I did.
