CGK - Java Transportation
I'm thinking of going to Ujung Genteng, -7.3577,106.403627
The directions, from what I'm internet reading:
"By Bus Travelers must catch the bus at the airport that takes you to Bogor, then board the Surade bus at Bogor bus station. From Surade you must proceed in a mini van to Ujung Genteng harbour mouth..."
Some hotels in the area are offering fixed Mini Bus rides CGK - Ujung Genteng.
If I wanted to get my own ride from the airport at 04.00. Either all the way or to one of the transfer towns of Bogor or Surade, where would I look for transportation at CGK?
I have a car rental booked @ $US 300. for the week. But once I get to Ujung Genteng, the car won't be much help, so I'm looking for a bit more comfort than local transportation on the way down.

When you come out of the arrival area at CGK, there are transport counters.
Bluebird is the best one, they have taxi's and also limos - so haggle and see what you can get.
Morning price is very good - as most people believe that if they get a good deal first thing in the morning they have a great day earning money.

OK. Thanks.
I'm surprised, maybe just anyone (especially local Bluebird Taxis) would be interested in an 8 hour, 16 hour round trip fare. I was thinking there would be a "long haul/transfer" desk that would focus on those distances.
Now to figure out the price.
The local hotel is charging IDR 1,200,000.
Last time I was in CGK, a daytime taxi ride to my hotel was IDR 125,000 with tolls, and the hotel nighttime discount was IDR 200,000 (30% off).
So, maybe that could be a starting point.
Thanks.

You can take the DAMRI bus to Bogor from CGK. I think it is hourly. It's comfortable, takes about the same time as car (traffic is usually the limiting factor!) for around one tenth of the price.
If you want to break the journey in Bogor to sort out the next stage of you journey, the Santika is a very nice hotel next to the bus station.

Is there a rest room on the bus?
Also, from what I'm reading, there are Executive seating and Wi-Fi on the bus. Would you know about that.
Thanks.
Thanks.
