Best Airline from US to EZE??

Hi guys,
I'm planning my flight to EZE, and I'm wondering which carrier is the most decent of the options available:

United
Continental
American
Mexicana
Aeromexico

Last year, I took American direct to EZE from Chicago, but they don't offer that route anymore (and besides, we had an AWFUL crew/experience with AA). I don't get to fly biz class, so I would love to have the most comfortable economy experience as possible.

I gather you are not 1k or such with United so that leaves Economy Plus out as a freebie. Not that coach on United is anything great. Of your choices I would suggest Continental. I have never flown them in coach to EZE, only in J, but seems like a decent product in back and decent reviews.

Don't hesitate to fly LAN, which is a One World carrier, and probably has good connections with AA. Almost all of their aircraft now have an excellent IFE system at all seats. They have a nonstop to EZE from MIA. You also won't pay for your drinks.

Interesting question and one I am keen to know the answer on as well. ^

Right answer. JJ (TAM) is great in J and F if you don't mind a GRU connection, but I don't know their Y product.

No one ever suggested you were familiar with their Y product :D. For me, GRU is too far out of the way, and an unpleasant airport for connections. SCL, however, is a pleasant and easy connection, should you end up there. Also, LIM now has a decent airport and isn't a bad connection point.

You're right about GRU, and with the MIA-EZE on LA, LA is the best choice.

One minor problem neither JJ or LAN where listed as options by chiflygirl. And considering her statement about the previous experience with AA it seems that flying AA to Miami to connect to LAN might not be a choice she would want to consider.

I know it might not be a choice she would want to consider, but I thought it might be a choice she had not even considered. Since she mentioned AA as an option, I thought she might be very interested in an excellent OW Partner option.

If you're confined to the back, I'd say the shortest flight(s), with the minimum number of stopovers, and reasonable connection times, on any of the majors would be my suggestion.

Since the flights to/from NA are at night, if you can sleep in an economy seat so much the better. Nothing beats sleeping for most of the flight!

I'd go along with that kind of thinking as well. The differences in economy travel with most airlines aren't all that great to make one want to have to go out of your way for. So yes, the shorter flight time is the better option.

I'm Premiere Executive with United, but they are so expensive to get to BA. The LAN option appeals to me, especially the free booze part. I was curious about Continental's coach international because it seems the most direct route from Chicago.

Don't get too excited about the free booze part of LAN. In coach it is not exactly free flowing. Prior to the meal service you might be able to get a whiskey, wine or beer but most likely would have to wait for the meal service and get it then. The wine is poured from the bottle and one glass. If you are able to flag a flight attendant down you might be able to snag a refill but I have found that hit or miss. Otherwise, yes LAN offers excellent service in Y, but dealing with a transfer from AA to LAN at MIA might not be so wonderful.

Well I've done UA in E+ to EZE and found it quite acceptable from IAD. Since its a red eye both ways, it was not too bad. Note, that the 767 is 2-3-2 seating in coach which makes it pretty nice as well.

Safe Travels.

E+ and being a lowly UA MP 2P are the two reasons I chose UA over the other usual suspects for my June trip from Canada through ORD & IAD to EZE so good hear this feedback. :)

Good luck with your decision, OP. :)
