Accommodation near EZE airport
I am arriving EZE approx 2200 and continuing on to Trelew early the next morning. Are there any decent hotels near the airport to save the trip into town and back again?
|
Ive heard good reviews of the Posada del las Aguilas.
http://www.posadadelasaguilas.com.ar/ As far as I can tell, not luxury accomodations but more of a country-inn style. They seem to have been doing quite well as they now get some airline business (I see their vans picking up pilots and FAs from time to time). Let me caution you about your domestic departure.... if you are going to Trelew... are you sure your domestic flight leaves from EZE and not from AEP? If you leave from the city airport, then dont stay in EZE, it doesnt make much sense. |
Gaucho,
Thanks for the info - looks OK. We're booked out of EZE, not AEP to REL. Aerolineas Argentinas 1822 737-500 EZE/08:10a REL/10:10a |
In that case, I think the Posada is one of your best bets.
Having said that, perhaps you should still consider coming into town.... the drive is not that long and you could enjoy a great dinner and then a couple of hours of sleep before heading out to EZE the next day. |
mizzy;
I am no expert on Buenos Aires like Gaucho but..... here is my 2 cents. I would totally come into town, go out for a great dinner (served till 1-2 am any day of the week), have a nice drink or a decaf at one of the million cafes and then take a nap in a hotel before leaving in the morning. Cab ride is 1/2 hour and US$ 25-30 each way. One night in Baires is totally worth the detour. enjoy |

I'd agree, other than that if you're paying US$25-30 for a cab ride from EZE to the center of town, someone's ripping you off. Current cab rate from the main taxi booth in airport is 58 pesos (or was two weeks ago anyway), less than US$20, and you can book a cab or remis to take you back for a flat 60 pesos, tip included.

I am going to be in BA for like 12 hours next week only on an airline ambassadors escort trip and I need a hotel near the airport. I cannot get that inn that was mentioned to respond via email, but I only need a room from like 11am to 7pm, but of course will pay the full night rate. Any other suggestions other than that inn? I have tried googling, but nothing is turning up.
Feel free to PM me with any suggestions. |
S80dude-- outside the mentioned location, Im afraid I dont know how to assist you further (ie. I dont know any alternative thats nearby). Perhaps you should try calling them on the telephone? Its strange that they would not answer your emails.
These are the two emails for this property: [email protected] [email protected] |
To echo Saltshakers comments, US$25-30 for a one way ride as described above does seems a little steep, unless its a hotel car service (which are always more expensive).

Good news....although 8 kilometres away is a bit far. You would think they could have come to some arrangement to put it a bit closer to the airport.

And move the Gran Cememterio de los Aeronaves Aerolineas? :eek:
It's not as if they're short of room at the airport. I'm sure they could have squeezed it in somewhere. A good opportunity wasted in my opinion. Still....better than nowt I suppose. |
