Im sure this hotel will offer some sort of Shuttle solution.... you have to think that the Airlines will be getting some sort of discounted rate and the shuttle thing will have to be implemented.

8km.... isnt that about 5 miles...? Im not sure I would consider this far.
I can think of many airports which have a hotel within walking distance of the terminal....FRA,LHR,ARN,BKK,SYD are just some I've been to over the last couple of years. GLA alone has at least four within walking distance of the terminal and that's a small UK regional airport only 8 miles from the city centre. I'm just surprised that an airport the size of EZE which let's face it is hardly short of spare ground should build its first hotel so bloomin' far away. I would love to know the reason......I'm a bit  |

I was looking around EZE tonight, and it seems the most obvious solution is to build a parking garage (since much of the real estate seems to devoted to ground parking). That would free up space to build an on-site hotel.

On a related note, I had lunch with a few guys with political connections to the EZE County government and it appears that this Holiday Inn may get some competition that will be closer to the airport.... not sure if it will be on the airport grounds, but it will be closer that 8 kms.

Maybe a case of the more you pay us the closer to the airport you'll get?

At 8 km from EZE it could be in El Jagüel or Monte Grande. Not that most passengers would be impressed with either of those two locations.

Leaving the airport take the highway Ricchieri, get off at exit "Ciudad Evita", turn left at the roundabout and left again on the street "Virgen Maria". Continue approximately 300 meters to street Martin Miguel de Guemes where is located the hotel. The website map has the hotel sitting at the opposite end of Plaza de Mayo from the Casa Rosada - ideal if La Presidenta ever has an Evita Peron moment:eek: Someone will be disappointed when they find out that there neighbours aren't quite as high-brow :) |
Me thinks they are going to have to clean up Ciudad Evita a little to make this location work.....
