heading to EZE tomorrow and need to know if I can bring my US appliances with me. Is a converter or adapter required ?

Was looking forward to "setting it and forgetting it" with my Ron Popeil Showtime Rotisserie while on vacation.

Not exactly AA related, and certainly easy to find with a quick Google search, but here is what you need to know.

Argentina is 220V. The current will depend on the load you supply.

You will need a 220 to 110V transformer. Also, the plugs are somewhat different.... if you are in a full service hotel, they will usually lend you the required adapters.

What adapter is in the most common use in Argentina? I have the standard \ / type from my last visit but I read that the European type o o is also in use?

Just want to minimise weight.

Thanks

Just a note that may be helpful to continental European travellers. I would estimate that 80-90% of the outlets I came across are the dual format type that take both Austral (Argentina/Australia/New Zealand) and European type plugs.
