I flew back 2 weeks ago, antigen on arrival (no longer required since 10/19). Just keep in mind you need to do the DDJJ within 48hs of your departure, they will ask you to upload the Negative PCR Test and which Vaccine did you get with the dates for the 1st and 2nd doses. I didn't have to upload my vaccine card and they never asked me for one. Travel insurance is not required (it was required like a year ago.
Just remember, you still need a PCR/Antigen Test for your return to USA, both are free in Parque Chacabuco or La Rural, I did an appointment but they never asked me for the confirmation in Parque Chacabuco (in and out in 15 min), result took exactly 24hs. |
Anyone have more recent experience traveling to Buenos Aires (post-Nov 1 re-opening)?
Is it correct that the only requirements are PCR test 72 hours before DEPARTURE? No PCR test required between day 5-7 or COVID insurance? |
Question About Approved PCR & timing
Can anyone confirm if the PCR can be a rapid PCR? I have already booked an appt for the standard PCR . My worry is I have a flight at 12:59pm at night on Tuesday pretty much Wednesday. I had to schedule my test for a Sunday due to the 72hrs. I am trying to have 2nd one booked and curious about what type of tests are actually required . I cant find the list of approved PCR and I am curious if a standard Rapid-PCR will also be sufficient? No where will be open on Saturday after 12:59PM so if anyone has some advice or knowledge let me know please.
Thank You, |
A PCR test is a PCR test, so it doesnt matter if you have a "standard" PCR test or a rapid PCR. As long as the result clearly states that it is a PCR test, you are OK.

I was told by agent with Aerolineas Argentinas that we only need the PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure for flight into Argentina. The requirement for 5-7 day PCR test is no longer required for people who are fully vaccinated.

Question on Timing
Does anyone know how Argentina defines “departure flight” when someone is flying on one ticket from YVR to EZE with two hour connections in YUL and GRU? All of the flights are on Air Canada. The United Airlines, Copa Airlines, and Latam Airlines websites indicate that the CPR test for Argentina must be taken 72 hours before boarding the first flight in YVR, but the Argentina government states that a CPR test must be taken 72 hours prior to boarding. Air Canada states that it is 72 hours before departure to Argentina.
For comparison, the United, Copa, Latam, and Chilean government websites state that Chile requires taking a CPR test 72 hours before boarding the last international flight that will land in Chile. |
I read that it is 72 hours prior to specific flight to Argentina. Not necessarily the originating flight. I flew into EZE on Wed, airline checked for PCR test and confirmation that I filled out the online Argentine form.

Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. United SPECIFICALLY is stipulating that that the first embarkation point can be a connecting domestic flight - e.g I have a UA itinerary SFO-IAH-EZE and the Travel Ready Center is listing a PCR test 72hrs or less before the scheduled SFO-IAH departure time. |

UA818 EZE-IAH economy 787-9
Wanted to share my experience leaving EZE on United. Really a breeze getting through the airport as I was able to upload all of my documents so for a mobile boarding pass. Crew was great and I was able to have a row of economy to myself ( poor man’s business class ).
