LifeMiles Phone Booking for Lufthansa Business — Told 48–72 Hours for Payment Link +

Looking for some datapoints from others who’ve done manual LifeMiles partner bookings.
I booked a Lufthansa Business Class award through Avianca LifeMiles over the phone (JFK - FRA - BOM Dec 17). The agent said they couldn't complete the reservation due to an error, and hung up the phone. A few minutes later, the reservation just appeared in my LifeMiles app on its own, with a PNR even though I didn’t book anything myself, but it is giving an error when I click on Manage My Booking. I called them back and they said it has been booked and they took some of my information and said I will get a payment link soon for the taxes and fees). The PNR shows Waitlisted when I input it into the Lufthansa app.
When I asked about payment, they said I would receive a payment link within 48–72 hours.

- Is it normal for Lufthansa partner awards booked via LifeMiles to show WAITLIST until ticketing/payment?
- Has anyone else had a PNR auto-populate in the app even when the phone agent didn’t provide it?
- How long does the payment link usually take for a manual LifeMiles booking (LH Business specifically)?
- At what point should I call to re-trigger the link or worry about the space not being confirmed? Already called 3x and received the same wait for 48-72 hr response
