Amex Plat 4 hour Grace Period in UK Not showing

I am looking to book a car for rental in London (LHR pickup) on my Amex Plat CDP, If I enter anything over 4 days e.g. 4 days and 32 hours I am being quoted a charge for an extra days rental.

In the US I can pre-enter the extra 4 hours and the price does not change due to my CDP, as I understand it the same policy applies to the UK, am I doing something incorrectly?

Are you sure that you are using the American Express Platinum CDP? I just tried for 1 week + 4 hours and was quoted a rate of 1 week

Perhaps you should call Amex and ask if there’s a separate CDP for bookings in the UK.

I would suggest phoning and asking Amex which one is applicable to you.

4 days + 32 hours is 5 days, 8 hours. How would 4 hours grace change that result? You're going to be charged for 6 days regardless.

I'll add that I do not typically see the grace period when I make a reservation. But so long as I've returned within 4 hours of the scheduled return, I've not been charged.
