it took 17 days for the points to appear i was asked for my co acct number and pin , and my agr account # but they didnt ask for the name on my agr acount so i really dont know whether or not a name match was done i would just give them the agr acct # and nothing else |

Definitely Option B! on what to say! If U call their attn. to the name difference, they won't do it, or they will say it won't work. |
In regards to CO to AGR transfers.....
Im 15 miles short for the minimum 5,000 mile minimum in my CO account. Any ideas on how to get those few miles? I have only thought of crediting a future hotel stay, but that wastes 485 miles. Any other ways?? :( |
Car rental's 50 miles. Does CO have an online mall portal?
But probably doing a search in the CO forum, or, if you don't find anything, would net better answers. |

What is not clear to me, is how many times this bonus can be earned... |

Edit: Nope, i'm totally wrong. Prestige Pack sounds like an excellent deal. |

Edit: Nope, i'm totally wrong. Prestige Pack sounds like an excellent deal. FYI, If you want some relatively cheap AGR Points, I registered for Earthlink Dial-Up Service. It has to be active for 2 billing cycles. I didn't even log on once before cancelling, nor did I install software. Cost of 2 billing cycles @ $21.95 per month = $43.90 You get 5000 AGR points which will just about get you a 1 zone ticket---worth more than $43 usually |
Are there any fees for transferring miles from CO into Amtrak?

(The only cost might be any applicable long distance charges to call the CO OnePass service center, as they don't have a toll-free number.) |

Miles were immediately deducted from my CO account. Miles were credited on Sunday - only 48 hours from start to finish. ^ Query: Will this extend the expiration date for my Amtrak points? |
I **think** you have to take an actual AGR-credited Amtrak train ride at least every 36 months for the points not to go poof.

Another CO-AGR-Hilton question
I have 3500 orphaned OnePass miles. I'm going to be making an online purchase that could bring me over the 5000 mile mark with CO if I use their shopping portal. If I do this, I'd like to use the CO-AGR-HH transfer to get 10K Hilton Points.
My question is about AGR. I do not have an account, nor do I plan on taking a train ride in the foreseeable future. Does Amtrak require that I actually use their product (eg buy a ticket) in order use them to "launder" CO points? Or don't they care? I'm a little concerned, especially given the postings above about needing to buy tickets every 36 months to keep an account active. I'd really like to hear from someone that has opened a new account and successfully used the transfer without ever buying a train ticket. I got burned from Radison GoldPoints a few years ago and don't want that to happen again (I accumulated a bunch of points with the intention of transferring them to FF programs .... then found out that the fine print requires a Radisson stay before transferring). TIA! |
