Similar but slightly different/less ... it was 3 Lounge passes and 3 Upgrade certs.

The Select package IIRC, provides:

3 - 12 hours upgrade coupons to BC or FC.
3 - Coupons that can either be used to gain entry to a Club Acela/Metropolitan Lounge or for a 10% discount off the coach/railfares for any one reservation.

The Select Plus package includes:

4 - 48 hour free upgrade coupons
2 - Companion coupons

Otherwise both kits include special AGR cards that provide special phone numbers, luggage tags with your name on it, and various offers from AGR partners.

Been about six weeks since I qualified for Select and still no welcome packet. Should I be concerned or chill for a bit?

Given my experience last year, the package never arrived, so I would start calling to request status now and track the contacts

Thanks - will do. At this rate, I'll be Select Plus before the Select packet arrives.

That's exactly the issue. Had, then had to fight for the select coupons I never received ( I didn't realize there was anything beyond promo material in the packet initially)

Heard back from AGR. My packet was processed three weeks after I made Select, and I should allow another three to six weeks for "shipping." Gee, that's speedy.

Last year I made Select in November, and my package didn't arrive until the middle of February. Never got to use any of the coupons or upgrades, as they were all expiring in like two weeks. (Of course, the ones for this year arrived a few weeks after, and I have been using those.)

Been there, done that. It's always great to pile on the useless coupons that you're never going to use...

I don't consider the one class upgrade coupons to be useless. They are wonderful! Not only do I get to ride FC on the acela, but it is also wonderful in accumulating points AND status even quicker because one gets the 750 points for the one way on the Acela, even with just using the upgrade coupon and not purchasing the upgrade.

Well maybe I should rephrase what I said. It seems (more than likely, after reading the responses) that my luck seems to be what's shot here.

I can never get availability to use the upgrade certs to begin with. I even got denied today from using the 10% off coupon that was in my old Select enrollment kit for NER140 due to a lack of inventory.

That was conflicting to what the reservation agent told me on the phone, but I just let it go.

My luck just stinks. :(

I have yet to miss an upgrade. ;)

Darnit. I'm running 0/8 right now... Let's see my luck on 2217 today; if I get it, it would be a FC ticket for 76$.
