Uber Eats Pass is now Uber One
Happened to look at my Uber account today and see that I'm going to start being charged $9.95/mo for my Uber Eats membership that Amex gave us for free previously.
Not interested in paying $120/year for it but people elsewhere (reddit) are saying that when they log in, they see an offer ending 11/29 for $49.95/year. I'd pay that. Unfortunately with my linked Centurion card, the offer is not available, only the $9.95/mo deal. No other option. I know the Centurion doesn't always get the same perks as the Platinum for some reason (cough-cough), but since it had it the Uber Eats program before it might include this special annual deal. Does anyone know the situation or have the same? Thanks! |
I have Platinum card. As soon as I saw the $9.99 charge, I contacted Uber by chat to cancel and request a refund.
Per Uber website, the discounted annual offer is supposed to be available to all through Nov. 29 (Introducing Uber One), but it does not show up under "Settings" in my account. |

That's not how I read it: *Annual flash sale pricing ($49.99/year) is available to eligible members until 11/29/21. Uber One may not be available to members on a partner funded pass. Free trial is only available for first time members.

I assumed at first it was people who didn't have the free pass over the last year, but that doesn't seem to be the case. |
Honestly happy to be rid of Uber TBH. Lyft Pink costs more, but provides free bikes in most cities I visit, Grubhub discounts and priority airport pick up.

But overall I think Uber is a better service. IME they seem to have tighter requirements for Uber Black (vs Lyft Lux Black) and offer a broader range of products that are frequently useful (ie Uber Comfort where you can pre-set temperatures and have the driver wait for you for up to 10 minutes). |
My account still shows Eats Pass through Dec 29, with no recent Uber charge to my card?

Going to apologize in advance, but, generally, I don't like reading stuff. What's the main benefit of Eats Pass? So, you can order food?

https://www.ubereats.com/eats-pass But that sounds better than it is, given other fees. From a recent order: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a956abea8.jpeg So it saved me $3.78 on a $65 (+ fees, tip) food order. As someone who orders Uber Eats usually just once a month, it isn’t worth paying $10 for. |
There is a $50 annual deal on it that ends today. Notably, this time around you can pay it with Uber cash, which has been discounted as much as 20% this week.

It’s not an eats pass. Uber One. Weird that it’s targeted. It’s not that great of a deal unless you spend $1000 on Uber annually.
