Just an update here…was finally enrolled in the Uber Eats pass via the UE app.

i didn’t see any option to enroll, and had been in a convo with Uber support, who basically said it should be in my account options but it never was. I last heard from them last week saying they would look into it. Had not heard back. Today, I finally was able to see the option, and enrolled no issue, with it confirming the first charge would be on Dec. 17, 2022. So I’m all set.

just a reminder to folks, must enroll in this benefit by Dec. 31 to take advantage - I wouldn’t wait until last minute in case you have issues like I did.

I have more than one amex plat, but once the 12 months for UberEATS is up, you can't use enroll another card on same account .
Would it work to use a different account on your phone, with the same phone number?
How would you do that?

Cancelled before my free AmEx eats pass expired and I was charged for renewal.

Is the best play here if you have a new card that hasn’t been added to uber yet to create a new uber account before 2021 ends for another free year of uber eats pass (which will eventually be concerted into uber one)?

Or is the expectiation that uber accounts that have an AmEx card which was eligible for the current free year of uber eats pass deal will just be offered a free year of Uber One in 2022 (ie. continued card benefit)?

the Eats pass offer currently expires 12/31. Don’t know the history, nor have I heard either way that they will offer this again in the future (with Eats pass or Uber One). Given the current expiry, my expectation is this offer is done on 12/31, and not to expect it to continue until there is a promo/announcement that this is continuing into 2022.

Cancelled my eats pass before the expiration (which has now passed), but now I'm unable to upgrade to eats pass / uber one. I still see "eats pass" as a menu option in the app, but I get an error message whenever I try to select it....

Any ideas?

I have the Uber Eats Pass through Amex Platinum till August 2022. However the Uber Eats app says there is a problem with the payment method. Tried deleting and re-adding the card. Same issue.

Anyone else seeing this?

For me the error fixed itself the next day.

"Your complimentary membership" implies a no-fee (included) benefit to me. I consider it an "enhancement" with the discount declining from 10% to 5%.

I just realized the change from Uber Pass to Uber One. My complimentary Uber Pass via AMEX Plat was supposed to expire on July 9, 2022, but now I'm seeing "Uber One renews on April 11, 2022 for $9.99" in my Uber Eats app. Did Amex/Uber discontinue the complimentary offer?

Check your monthly email instead (subject "Your Uber One is ready") -- it'll show next month's charge as $0

I get email offers all the time from $35-25 off any order. Only problem is every time I have tried to use it (5 times now) there are never ANY drivers. So the Amex benefit as well of the offers direct from Uber are worthless to me and its not like I live out in sticks either. I am in a wealthy suburb.
