Amex Platinum Customer Service telephone navigation

Hi!
I am a new cardholder for the Amex Platinum and just received my card today.
I tried calling customer service for a question about my account but I got confused by the menu options
I understand that the customer service number is 1 (800) 525-3355 and the Concierge is the 2nd option in the menu.
However - how do I navigate to:
  • inquiries about charges / fraud / reimbursement etc.
  • inquiries about MR points
  • inquiries about retention
Sorry if this is a silly question but would rather find out sooner rather than later. Having been a CSP cardholder for a few years - I guess I am used to speaking to a real person whenever I call customer service so navigating through the automated menu will take some getting used to.

Would appreciate any help! Thanks!

You can use the Amex app on iPhone (and probably Android) to get someone to pick up almost immediately. Tap "Account" -> "Help / Contact Us" -> "Membership Services." I haven't used this method since the new app was released a few weeks ago, but I'd imagine it still works.

Oh I see it!
Thank you so much!
Will give it a try if I need something.

AMEX now has one of the most annoying voicemail trees out there (and the voice recognition is completely worthless).

I just keep hitting "0" until I get a real person.

We do the same, but we were just repeating "agent" over and over and refusing to respond to any of the prompts questions until we got a real, live person.
Hitting "0" over and over sounds much easier. And much more quiet :)

Their voice menu H*** is among the worst.
