I'm not sure anything is ever "permanent" in this game. Obviously, BA could return to the program at some point in the future, but given they've been removed from the list of participating airlines, from the IAP marketing literature, etc. it certainly does not appear to be a mistake or short term gap.

I still see BA listed here: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/t...ram/index.html Where else are the participating airlines listed?

Good catch. findark already answered your direct question, but now I guess who knows? Not sure how many places the list is shown and which one would be considered "definative" so I guess we'll see

LAX-ICN J class in the middle of March on Asiana.

Asiana site = $4808
IAP = $4267

Savings of $541 (13%)

IIRC when Emirates and Qatar rolled out their business lite fares (ie no lounge access, etc), AMEX IAP filters those results out, or at least I haven't seen any of their business lite fares in limited searches. However, now that Finnair has rolled out their business lite fares out ex-North America (initially rolled out for intra-European and Europe-Asia routes only), they are appearing as IAP fares. Just a heads up that you can spot those fares by checking the baggage allowance during booking and seeing that the first bag is now charged. In order to book a business classic IAP fare I had to call in to have it manually booked as an IAP fare, but at least no booking fee was charged.

FYI to CX and oneworld flyers to Asia- I hadn’t seen any CX IAP fares showing for quite some time, but they are popping up again. That being said, the savings are minuscule right now- I’m seeing transpacific J fares upwards of $5k where the savings is literally in the tens of dollars- not worth it at all vs booking direct

Might sound silly, but are all of IAP fares eligible for FFP earnings?

Yes. I suppose there’s a very small chance of getting a consolidator fare that doesn’t but I don’t think I’ve heard of that happening. Usually they’re constructed like a corporate discount.

I’ve tried to get bulk tickets but they don’t do it. IAP is basically a commission rebate program. The airlines in the program are offering good commission rates, usually 18% or more, then Amex rebates that back to you in points value. If you see an airline disappear from the program, it’s usually due to changing the commission agreement.

Booked a steep discount on Japan Airlines refundable F ATL-TYO of about 48% off, priced online.

Ticket price was $25253 and IAP was only $13025.

Retail business rates were around $9800 for my dates on DL and others (non refundable). Currently nothing reasonable award wise.

Is it just me or is the feature to specify an airline gone from the IAP site?
It now seems that searches are limited to "all airlines" without the ability to limit the search to a specific carrier.

Yea, my guess is that they are for sure no longer participating which is a bummer for sure. I got a few good fares with them via this program...

Looking to search for IAP fares, is there any way to search online? Also if i book for United will I get the usual PQP Credit?
