They finally popped emergency exit to let people out (to landside), one guy here at elevator with me missed his flight, told by Amex folks to come back in & re-book if he didn't make it--of course can't get back in to do that!

No Amex staff to be found either :(

Amex staff finally appeared, I was informed that they are closing for the rest of the day.

It seems somewhat odd that they didn't build stairs, but I'd guess there is some construction reason they didn't. I mean elevators aren't infallible. I think to the Delta SkyClubs at ATL that are on a different level (pretty sure they have both ones above and below the main terminal level) and they have stairs and an elevator.

Same thing in MIA! If the elevator is not working...no entry/exit.
