Haha maybe now the Air Canada lounge will have more space ;)

I tend to be a bit more optimistic. LGA is heavily O and D and no DL flights go out of Central concourse. So people will probably
Stop in briefly for a drink and bite before their flights and be out much faster than they would be in DFW.

I agree with this. As a DL flyer, it is just too much of a hassle to get over to terminal B. It's too bad though as I like the centurion lounge product. I have only been to LAS and it was well worth the stop.

This is true though on the flip side DFW is in Terminal D which is more international and not that many people connecting through so it's a bit of a trek for the average AA person connecting from East Coast Point A to West Coast Point B.

And yes little use for Delta flyers but they have a decent (though as with everywhere overcrowded) SkyClub

LGA has both a United club (that I sometimes use free day passes I've garnered along the way) and an Air Canada club (that you can access with Priority Pass) landside already so this adds a more exciting option but if it's too packed these options remain as backups

Just thinking: LGA is about 3 miles from the USTA tennis center in Flushing, where I usually start my Saturday 6 mile run ... maybe I should bring my Plat AMEX, massage my route , and stop in for a bottle of water, a bathroom and -- if I'm feeling fit -- an Italian Burrata on Crostini, Lemon Vinaigrette, Basil. Take a mid-run break, see how the flyertalkers are doing, then go on my merry way.

Come to think of it, since it's land-side, the Centurion Club (with its generous family admission policy) might completely change my approach to a day out in Queens: heading to Home Depot? Let's get some french toast and frittata on the way out and grab some signature cocktails on the way home. Have a day pass at Spa Castle? Don't want to pony up for bulgogi? Quick dash to LGA for some udon and ginger rice!

I kid, I kid: I want it to stay nice as much as anyone else here, so I'll just keep checking back to see if the goombas have invaded.

Enjoy and please keep the user reports coming!

Fantastic Lounge! dropped by yesterday (Day 2) and was really really impressed with the service, food and drinks and the view...

As a Centurion, was give a black box curated by PopSugar Must Haves.

Let Popsugar Enhance your life, Wherever you are, Where ever you'r headed.^
Included in the box
  1. Tom eyewear Beachmaster sunglasses
  2. Apolis Luggage Tag
  3. Clark's Botanical Mist
  4. Eliunt Olive Oil
  5. Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm
  6. Nest Fragrances Candle

Platinum members got a black bag as opposed to a black box

Because it was their second day, lounge was not too busy, but I imagine it will be really busy!!

Definitely looking forward to this! I fully enjoyed the LAS one on my trip there late last year and I'll be in LGA 4 times at the end of Aug/begin Sept, so I'll bite the bullet for you guys and stop in as much as the Platinum card will let me! :D and tell you about it, of course!

My thoughts as well. There probably is a high concentration of Plat and Centurion members in NY Metro to begin with. Add a ground stop and pretty soon the paid option will not be offered at this lounge. Hopefully they will keep the Plat access complimentary for LGA.

I'm here now, and just got the same item...quite a nice gift!

...but here's the big find: Centurion members get VEUVE instead of prosecco. It's 5pm somewhere, right?!

Same here. As a NYC-based AA flyer, Centurion Lounge access is one of the only reasons I am still keeping my Plat card after the loss of Admirals Club access.

Well, they're giving welcome gifts to all the plat card holders here, while at the same time trying to recognize centurions with upgraded drinks and gifts...so I would say they don't intend to restrict platinums...unless they get to capacity

Was this the gift for plat? Curious what's in it.

Was told it was l'Occitane products. Just got home, and the Centurion gift is:

Toms sunglasses
Nest Fragrances Wasabi Pear candle
Malin+Goetz lip balm
Clark's Botanicals cellular moisture lifting mist
Monteida extra virgin olive oil
Apolis Global Citizen leather luggage tag

Overall, the reception staff was amazing. Very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed thrilled to do their jobs.

The bar staff seemed a little awkward and overworked, and a bit stranger they ran everything past two women sitting at the bar who appeared to be some sort of AmEx corporate times. It was a little awkward, but not unexpected in the first days of operation.

Best part....complimentary Veuve for Centurion card holders....but when I went for a refill I was awkwardly told "it's only one per person"
