How long till the gift registry purchase shows up as "Available Balance"? I'd like to use mine for a flight in about 9 hours but its showing up in current balance and not available balance.

I purchased two $100 GRs and both times it was in the available balance overnight. Both times I purchased around 6pm and when I woke up at 6am it had moved to available. Not sure it it is always overnight or just a certain amount of time but that is how it went for me.

I then went ahead and purchased $200 through the gift registry. So far, the pending charge I see on Amex is identical to the charge I see for the GC. We'll see what happens... However, I have not yet received the Amex credit for the $200 GR. It was posted on Jan 2nd. Interesting, the GC purchase posted as if it was an actual travel reservation with a full ticket number. I bought the Gift Card for 200.00 w/o looking here and shame on me. Been three days and no reimbursement.
I just signed up for the Gift Registry. Can I gift myself the 200.00 or do I need to set up an account in a family members name. Thanks in advance. |

GR T&C say "Accounts are non-transferable", does that mean that I can only use it for tickets in my name? Can I buy tickets for someone else with the GR balance?
