Thanks for these spreadsheets.
I'm in the process of adding an AAdvantage module to a mileage earning calculator spreadsheet (so far I have QF, UA and LH done) and interested in how the minimum mileage interacts with COS bonus, status bonus, and reduced earning for discounted fare classes (on certain airlines). |

You may also want to find an appropriate place on the FlyerGuide wiki pages to have these and then link to that from one of the existing stickies so new people can find them.

I have a newb question: What are the various options in the "upgrade" field? I fly with my company on AAirPass, so our tickets are automatically made First/Business when available, so I don't think I've ever "requested" an upgrade. Should I just leave them blank and ignore the "#DIV/0" error in L17?
I'm using version 1.9 of McFlyPHL's Spreadsheet. |
Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Hello. (I did a forum search for this and didn't find anything, sorry if I missed something obvious.)
Does anyone have a version of the "AAdvantage Miles Tracker" that includes changes to EQM & EQMP rules? The latest version that I have is v1.9. THANKS! |

What changes?
† As of Jan 16, 2009, non-elites no longer receive a 500 minimum miles (EQM, RDM) per segment. In addition, the 500 EQP minimum was discontinued for all passengers, with EQP now calculated based on fare class and base RDM (= EQM) earned, including elite minimums, rather than fare class and actual miles flown. This should result in de facto minimums for elites of 250, 500, or 750 EQP, depending on fare class. This last point has been confirmed through FTer experience. These changes were originally scheduled to take place as of Jan 1, 2009.

Spreadsheet for Tracking Miles
I've seen several references to people using a spreadsheet to track their miles. Does anyone have one that they would care to share? I realize that a simple one would be pretty easy to set up, but, if the work's already done........?

I think the Users' Guide sticky may have links to a couple of these products - created and modified by our own members, McFlyPHL and brp.

Thank you. I'd done search of all the stickies using "spreadsheet", "excel", and "track mileage" but didn't get anything. Finally I just Googled "spreadsheet for tracking mileage on American" and came up with this link to FT
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...-download.html Thank you McFlyPHL for doing the work. |
Although I don't bother any more (the airlines and hotels do it for you, for free!!!!), for many years I used Quicken. Just create a new file (Points) and an "account" for each program (doesn't matter if it is airline or hotel). Then you put in the codes you want (reg miles, bonus miles, etc.) and go to work.

It would be great if someone could update MilesTracker for the new EQP rules noted above. |
Spreadsheet for tracking miles
Anyone have a good excel template/starting point for tracking miles that is also able to pull miles from an outside source? I'd love to find something where i can enter in the origin and destination airports and have the spreadsheet poll GCM or MileCalc.com and get the distances. Would also be cool to have it use 500-mile min connections if you have status.
I think I can create one of these if nothing exists, just figured I'd check on availability before starting. Are there any sites that do this? Might be a new feature to request of tripit.com for them to track miles towards new status. |
