Qualified as a first-time EXP a couple weeks ago. Ending my travel year at:

65k EQP
91k EQM
105 EQS

This is all since June, when I jumped ship from UA after reaching plat (75k miles). It's been a long year...

I re-qualified on Wed. also, and SWU's showed up Friday.
(squeaked by with 100,290 EQM this year)
EXP year#8 for me, only two trips to So.Africa for work in 2014, so most of the AA spend$ was on me.

10 years in a row of ExecPlat, woo-hoo!! Never gets any easier....

YTD Elite Qualifying Points 79,636
YTD Elite Qualifying Miles 105,950
YTD Elite Qualifying Segments 39

SoCalFlyer23 Dec 25, 2014 12:19 pm

It took a few same-day crazy segment runs, but I'm in the clubhouse for my 3rd year of Executive Platinum!

62,553 points
96,373 miles
100 segments

With my schedule this December it was easier to do segment runs on off days than it was to spend 3-4 days flying long-haul for the EQMs. Looking forward to a couple Europe/South America trips and re-qualifying via miles next year...

VeniceDre Dec 25, 2014 1:12 pm

Re-qualified last Saturday.

YTD EQP: 71,977
YTD EQM: 100,990
YTD EQS: 83

FriendlySkies Dec 26, 2014 1:27 pm

Qualified for another year of EXP while flying to DEN to visit family for the holidays.

YTD EQP: 61,867
YTD EQM: 101,003
YTD EQS: 63

Would have qualified much earlier in the year, had I not taken a two week trip to NZ (on miles) in April. That was my only travel for March-June..

Congrats. So is this your third year as EXP?

Hayvenhurst Dec 26, 2014 2:41 pm

I have also qualified as EXP for the 3rd year.

EQM 101,257

EQP 66,284

segments 35

trekker954 Dec 26, 2014 3:15 pm

98,511 EQP
100,978 EQM

2008 to 2013 XPLT
2014 - lowly Plat
2015 - XPLAT :D

Travel this year for me was down so it took until yesterday's flights to cross the finish line, but I made it for the 3rd year in a row.

55,068 points
81,781 miles
100 segments

The question now, of course, is whether to even bother going for 4 in 2015-give the speed at which Discount Dougie is dismantling 'old' AA, in favor of US, my gut reaction right now is no, just not worth it.

moki1 Dec 28, 2014 8:38 am

Good question.
I have been ex plat for several years and have noticed benefits decreasing because of all the ex plt that exist. I think it will be even worse when US CP gets added. Who will want to fly US air when they can fly AA which is markedly better IMO.
Also, they are allowing people to buy up from 80K to 100k. That really upsets me bc before I was ex plt. they would never let you buy more than 5k to reach ex plt. I hope I am wrong, but I think that a lot of us will be doing a lot of complaining this year.

Made it this year for the first time, after a few years as PLT. Ended the year at:

73,834 EQM
73,627 EQP
101 Segs

Not expecting to hit 120 in 2015. But also not expecting to find greener grass outside of The New American.

IflyonAA Dec 28, 2014 6:43 pm

108,000 EQM - I think this is year 5/6 for EXP. Still happy with AA - see no reason to venture elsewhere.

I'm sitting ~200 miles short of 100k EQM right now, waiting for credit from a US Airways segment that I flew over 10 days ago that will put me over the top once again... I can understand a slight delay, but how could it possibly take this long?!

Had this happen to me earlier this month. Call the Advantage desk and ask them to post the missing miles for you manually.
