EDIT- Not sure if this should go in another section, but can anyone offer some guidance on how I can get rebooked on another carrier. AA is saying this is a schedule change, and made more than 72 hours so IROPS shouldn't apply, however my argument is this is a Significant Change and I should be moved to another airline even if an award seat Biz is not available. Its their responsibility to get me there in the cabin I was ticketed in, not "only if an award is available" Am I wrong? For Tel Aviv flights, I don't think AA wants to be involved in providing alternate accommodations as the alternate accommodations are typically cancelled at some point also. Prior bookings were cancelled without alternatives. I have a booking in December on AA and a booking in February on AA. Until the "Bombs bursting in air" cease, the issues do not cease. |

Am I wrong? AA won't rebook you on another airline. |

Significant changes in advance don't offer carte blanche to be rebooked on other carriers. AA will offer to rebook you on the next viable flight they have or give you a refund.

Im not aware of that. In my experience, advance schedule changes and cancelations have been limited to refunds or alternative arrangements by AA (and possibly their JV partners). I was flying DFW-LHR-somewhere in Europe (cant remember exactly) and BA axed the route. I didn't want to cancel the trip, so AA let me drop the last segment and end in LHR. |

This does not seem to affect flights operated by AA, only those operated by travel partners.Your mid-April flight falls outside the dates covered by the linked travel notice.
Also, I just found this in their guide- If AA/AA* codeshare/JB Prime flights are no longer offered, it is permitted to book on ‘another’ airline as: o oneworld Prime, must be allowed within the ticketed fare rule and the correct RBD inventory for that carrier must be used o OA Prime (non-JB, non-oneworld), must be allowed within the ticketed fare rule and the correct RBD inventory for that carrier must be used |

Anyone have any updates on this? On my outbound, AF changed my departing TLV ticket to Aqaba on Royal Jordanian / Lufthansa combination while I cancelled my AA itinerary. For my return to TLV, I have both AA & AF flights to TLV and am deciding which will be rebooked better.
