Aa seat map on 787

Aa seat map on 787
Flight radar shows my aa 787 flight as being operated by N872AN which is one of the new 787s with the forward facing seats. Departure is in under 2 days however the seatmap still shows the rear facing seats. Anyone shed any light into what I should expect? Thank you for any help in advance

Exactly and with AA's ghastly operational performance, even if you get assigned a Super Diamond frame, it may encounter a mechanical issue at the last minute and get substituted for another 788 with the older configuration even on prime routes such as MIA LAX.

Recent experience: I was on a 772 this past Friday. 2 days before, on Flightstats, it showed a tail number with zodiac seats. However, the seat map never updated to show the reverse facing seats. The morning of the flight, the tail number changed to a 772 with all forward facing.
Bottom line, you really wont know for sure until the morning of your flight. And as someone posted above, it can change based on a mechanical or a late arriving flight.
