Including front/exit row, they charged me $150 for my last flight

You don't say when the new benefits kicked in. As Gold with a flight on Aer Lingus booked through American in September, I had to pay for seats.

Nothing about seat assignment costs though. EI is often a bit cheaper for the routes I need TATL, but the seat selection cost more than wipes those savings out.

Even top tier elites with Aer Lingus don’t get any discount at all on seat fees, so I’d expect that this doesn’t include free or discounted seat selection beyond whatever is included for everybody in the ticket type purchased. This could be as little as none at all or as much as every seat in the cabin other than exit rows. Curious to hear people's experiences though.

EI will be adding PE in the medium term so I assume that's a prelude to a full OW membership.

Particularly with all the programs aligning to the same qualification year.

Can confirm AA elites can access the 51st and Green lounge when traveling on Aer Lingus. As for seat assignments, I was auto-assigned a window seat near the front of coach at OLCI with no ability to change. I asked the lounge attendant at the LHR EI lounge if I could get an aisle seat anywhere on the plane and was accommodated with an aisle seat near the front for no charge. No idea if AA status had anything to do with it.

I'm booked on AA TATL connecting to an intra-europa EI flight (AA codeshare). Will I be allowed one carry-on in addition to my personal item? The Aer Lingus website and the Exec Plat desk say yes, but my booking confirmation on EI's website says "10kg bag dropped off at check-in"

Anyone know how to use the perks effective November 19 around free bags? I had a flight from DUB to FCO and have one free bag through a Plus fare but thought we get an extra one by being EP? The website seems to charge me when I try to select two even though I input my AA number during the checkout process.

Definitely want to try this partnership as it helps avoid the 9th circle known as LHR. That said....some of the routings that EI and Google flights gives me are gastly. Depart JFK at 4:45 pm and arrive DUB at 4:45 am. I cant possibly imagine what type of havoc that will play on the body.

That flight can arrive at 3.30am if the jetstream is strong.

Flying the other way around EI ticket stock and flight number, AA metal on DUB-DFW using my AAdvantage number. The booking shows up fine in My Trips on AA. Though the first names are a bit mangled on the AA side of things. A title like Mr. or Mrs. was appended to the end of the first name, showing up as Johnmr Doe and Janemrs Doe. I assume this is just a common glitch transferring data between two computer systems with nothing to correct.

Are these perks only available for AA elites when there is a transatlantic flight? I see there is that caveat for lounge access, but it does not say anything about free seat assignments or one checked bag for intra-European flights? Does anyone know?

Im flying LHR-SNN, if that helps.
