Recent experience -> Showers at LAX was closed.
The most safe bet for your trip would be DFW if you have PriorityPass as if the AC or FL showers are closed over there when you are traveling, you could use the Minute Suites showers for the discounted $20 rate. If you don't have PriorityPass it's $30 to use the showers in Minute Suites DFW Terminal D.
I don't know any open place that you could have a shower in ORD or LAX at the moment.

Yes, unfortunately still closed. Not really sure what the excuse is at this point, my guess is staffing problems/they would rather just not pay shower attendants right now.

I like the guac bars, but I don't think they come anywhere close, to elevating Admirals Clubs, above what Delta is currently offering food-wise in competitive markets like SFO and LAX. I was shocked at what DL was offering complimentary, in terms of quantity, quality, and variety at the food bars in those SkyClubs this past week and a half. If you had put that against the ACs in JFK and LAX, it would not have been close.

For anyone who is interested in the competition I am currently at the AS lounge at DFW. They have hot soup (tomato bisque) and pre-packaged chicken salads available with various bite sized snacks. I didn't look at the salads as I have my trusty bootlegger club with me but the set up is pretty nice. There is no plastic packaging or wrap to be found anywhere. The coke machine (not freestyle) is working. Just scan your AA BP and viola you are in.

So yesterday in DFW C morning. Usual food have to order from attendant. This afternoon come into C again and notice glasses at bar. Soup and veggies and hummus out for “vulture” picking. Haven’t been in club in afternoon in a long time. Is this now somewhat back to normal or am I just clueless?

Granted they are competitive markets, and the SkyClubs also have to provide something approximating what Flagships Lounges provide, but I was highly impressed.

I would say even DL's hub clubs, like SLC, ATL, MSP etc have far better food offerings that AC's at DFW. The variety offered is far better than avocados on toasted bread with dry eggs. I seriously can't believe AA gets away with that in their lounges. Sky Club at DFW Monday am had a variety of breakfast sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, salads, cereals, fruit, hot oatmeal and much more. It beats standing in a slow line for a small piece of avocado toast.
