I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised and like it. It feels new and fresh without being too cheeky.

Reminds me an awful lot of the Air France video:

Love the real escape slide.
Love the ending. "Going for great?" still? how long does it take to get there?
Wish it came sooner.
Would love the whole thing more if it were cut down to 30 seconds or less.

The gloved hands, mirrors, MC Escher-esque topsy-turvy is making me dizzy. There are parts feel long.

Although, at 4:20, it's in-line with other safety videos.

Yeah the video doesn't start to have any actual content until about 40 seconds in. It's more entertaining, but not enough to keep people's interest (especially since most on-board screens are too small and/or low-res to show any detail). I'd still rather see the actual aircraft item/footage than an artistic interpretation, but I'll willing to overlook it if they plan to make that much leg room standard throughout coach.

I don't love it, but glad to see them modernizing the overall look and feel of things like safety videos.

I will miss the "We're glad you're here" guy at the end of the old video. He always set the right mood for me at the beginning of a flight, including that one time I got to watch it four times on one flight due to crew swaps, thunderstorms, and mechanical delays.

I don't feel the main flight attendant in this video has much charisma though.

I found her voice to be downright monotonous. Felt like they were trying too hard to be modern and fresh.

Looks very futuristic. I wonder if those thin blue seats will one day be the standard seat in Y.

Has a look similar to the Virgin America safety video (minus the song and dance). It's fine, looks good, but the wasted 40 seconds of nothing at the beginning is going to lose any attention people may pay it.

But we'll never see that pitch in Y! They have to really lean forward to put the tray tables up

I think it is a very bold statement for AA knowing the culture. I am sure FTers will enjoy the behind the scenes videos (found on YouTube) including an interesting sound effects decision.

A bit frentic in its action, but the continuous shots are nice.

The video is pretty good, apart from two things which caught my eye:

1) The metal bar in front of the camera when its on the bit about "seat is up right position and tray table up"

2) How the F/A isn't fully on the screen when she is holding up the safety card.

Apart from that it's pretty good.
